Website of the Employment Lawyer's Association (ELA), a UK-based organisation whose members are drawn from all branches of the legal profession practising in employment law. The site covers the ELA's legislative and pro bono work, training and events. A members' directory can be searched by name, firm, location or employment speciality. Parts of the site are restricted to members only.

British German Jurists Association

The British German Jurists Association (BGJA) is a membership organisation that brings together legal practitioners and academics interested in British-German legal practice. The site provides information about the BGJA giving a list of committee members, news items and details of how to join. There are also details of conferences and workshops organised jointly by the BGJA and its sister organisation the Deutsch-Britische Juristenvereinigung which bring together speakers from Britain and Germany.

Slovak Bar Association

Web pages of the Slovak Bar Association, the independent professional body representing and regulating advocates in the Slovak Republic. There is background information about the Bar and a list of its committees and members. The directory of members can be searched by name and town and law firms can be browsed by location. There is also a list of advocates who have been temporarily suspended. The site can be viewed in English, Slovak and German.

Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners

Website of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) a professional body for practitioners in the field of in trusts and estates, executorship and related areas. The site has membership information about STEP (including a searchable online directory) and details of conferences, committees and events. There is information on STEP publications including journals, accounts and pamphlets. Articles and guides to trusts and wills can be downloaded from the site. Details are also given on courses offered by STEP for CPD. Parts of the site are restricted to members.

World Jurist Association

The World Jurist Association (WJA) is a US-based non-governmental organisation, founded in 1963 to provide a forum for lawyers, judges and academics seeking to promote the rule of law worldwide. The website gives information about the work of the Association, events, membership and internships. The Publications section lists WJA conference papers ("WorkPapers"), which can be ordered for a small fee; it also provides contents lists and abstracts for the Association's journal, Law/Technology (volume 36 onwards).

Judicial Appointments Commission

Website of the Judicial Appointments Commission (JAC), an independent non-departmental public body set up in 2005 to select candidates for judicial office. The site has information about the role and history of the Commission and biographical details of the Commissioners. Publications relating to the work of the JAC are available on the site including a business plan and a framework document. There are speeches, news items and details of events. A page describing the selection process is also provided on the site.

Singapore Academy of Law

The Singapore Academy of Law (SAL) is a membership organisation for the legal profession in Singapore. Its website has historical, financial, and corporate information about SAL, along with news updates, membership details and a directory of senior counsel in Singapore. The Digital Library provides full access to Law Reform Committee Publications and LawNet Papers, as well as access to selected articles from the SAL Journal, the Inter Se journal and the Asian Journal on Mediation. A number of SAL speeches and lectures are available as well.

Solicitors Journal

Website of the Solicitors Journal a weekly subscription journal for the legal profession which is available in hard copy and online. Solicitors Journal has legal news, articles, comment and analysis and recent cases. Content is also arranged by subject areas including property, civil litigation, commercial law, crime and private client issues such as wills, family, pensions and trusts. Articles are archived back to November 2002 and can be searched by keyword and date.

Burma Lawyers' Council

The Burma Lawyers' Council (BLC) is an independent group of lawyers and legal academics. Its aim is to foster human rights, democracy and the rule of law in Burma by such means as public education campaigns, provision of legal advice and research into the Burmese judicial system. The Council's website provides a selection of legal materials relating to Burma, including the country's Constitutions and its National Convention, reports and articles on the legal situation in Burma and a number of landmark agreements and declarations.
