Official website of the Welsh Parliament (Senedd Cymru) the body with responsibility for making Welsh laws, setting taxes and overseeing the work of the Welsh Government. The site contains information about Senedd members and the various committees. The Record of Proceedings, a transcript of the proceedings of the Senedd's Plenary meetings, can be searched on the site. There is information about the Bills and Acts of Senedd Cymru and the Senedd's legislative process. Documents which have to be presented to the Parliament can also be read in full including statements of opinion, laid documents and deposited papers. There are also online debates, legislation, records of all proceedings from 1999 onwards and details about Committees. Other features of the site include research papers prepared for Assembly members, lists of members, educational materials for teaching about the role of the Assembly and political devolution in Wales and an e-petitions and consultation section for the public. Information is offered in English or Welsh.
