EUREL

Description:

The EUREL website compiles information about the social and legal status of religions in more than 30 European countries, plus Canada. The interdisciplinary project is a collaboration between PRISME (Société, Droit et Religion en Europe) at the Robert Schuman University in Strasbourg and GSRL (Groupe Sociétés, Religions, Laïcités) at the Centre national de la recherche scientifique in Paris. The content can be browsed by country or by topic (circumcision, Covid-19, death, ritual slaughter, schools, freedom of religion, health, marriage, non-religion, prison, religion in the workplace). The country information includes extracts from legal texts, survey and statistical data and details of major works on the subject. The site can be viewed in English or French.
