Sustainable Development Law (SDL) research guide

Online guide to Sustainable Development Law, written by Gary Yessin, Reference Librarian at Florida A&M University College of Law. The article was originally published in 2006 (and updated in 2024 by Charlotte Daugherty) on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School at the NYU, School of Law. The author gives an introduction to the law relating to sustainable development and lists books on the subject. It also provides links to treaties, legal journals and research guides, along with a list of abbreviations.

Guide to the Republic of Azerbaijan law research

Online guide to legal research of the Republic of Azerbaijan written by Ramil Isgandarov Avaz, Chairman of the Eurasian Lawyers Association. The guide was published on the Globalex website in 2006 (updated in 2022) and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The author gives background information on the legal system of Azerbaijan covering the executive, legislative and judicial powers and providing information on organisations such as the Cabinet of Ministers, the Constitutional Court and the Procurator's Office .

Youth Court of New Zealand

Website of the New Zealand Youth Court, describing the work of the court and the nature of its proceedings. Guidance aimed at young people, families and victims is provided. There are links to summaries of decisions from 1998 to 2016 and to full (anonymised) decisions from 2016 onwards (both collections are on the New Zealand District Court website, which in turn has a link to archived summaries going back to 1988).

New Zealand Gazette

Website of the New Zealand Gazette, the official government newspaper and journal of constitutional record. The Gazette publishes official notices relating to business proceedings, bankruptcies, transfers of land and other matters, as well as notices from government departments and the New Zealand Parliament. It is available online to browse or search from 1993 onwards; in October 2014 the online edition replaced the print edition. The site also provides annual cumulative indexes to the Gazette from 2000 to 2014.

Immigration & Protection Tribunal

This New Zealand tribunal has replaced the Residence Review Board, the Refugee Status Appeals Authority, the Removal Review Authority and the Deportation Review Tribunal. Its web page, part of the New Zealand Ministry of Justice's website, provides the decisions of the Tribunal and its predecessors, together with guidance, legislation, practice notes, annual reports and statistics.

Patent Office of the Republic of Bulgaria

Official website of the Bulgarian Patent Office, with registers of patents, trade marks and geographical indications (et cetera) and a database of decisions. The 'IP Objects' page provides information about patents, designs, trade marks and related topics, including relevant legislation (in English). 'The official bulletin of the Patent Office of the Republic of Bulgaria' is available, together with a collection of reports (all in Bulgarian) and there is an information page for SMEs.

Invest Bulgaria Agency: legal framework

Information on business and investment law in Bulgaria provided by the Invest Bulgaria Agency (IBA). Covers foreign trade and customs, taxation, investment incentives, Bulgarian residency, employment law and property. There is also information on setting up a business and guidance on the law relating to specific sectors including robotics, health and life sciences, electronics, and IT. Includes the text of key legislation, such as the Investment Promotion Act and the Corporate Income Taxation Act (under 'Legal Guide'). The site is available in English and Bulgarian.

Bulgarian legal system and legal research

Guide to legal research in Bulgaria by  Aleksandar Aleksandrov who is Managing Associate at the law firm Komarevski, Dimitrov & partners. The guide was published on New York University's Globalex website in 2008 (and updated in 2024) and covers sources of Bulgarian law including the Constitution, treaties, statutes and cases. Links are given to online sources of Bulgarian legislation and to other sites, including those of the President, the judiciary, the Bulgarian National Bank, the Constitutional Court and the Bar.

Introduction to the Czech legal system and legal resources online

Guide to the legal system of the Czech Republic written by lawyer Michal Bobek. The guide was published on New York University's Globalex website in 2006 (and updated in 2024 by Olga Pouperova) it provides an introduction to the Czech political and legal system covering the executive, legislative and judicial powers. An outline of the legal system covering the courts, sources of law and the types of legislation is given and there are links to government institutions and departments and other websites, in Czech and English.
