Center for Air and Space Law

The Center for Air and Space Law at the University of Mississippi carries out research and teaching on aviation and space law. Its website has details of its events, courses, publications and staff. The Journal of Space Law is available on an open access basis from volume 1 (1973) onwards, except for the latest two issues; there is also information about the Journal of Drone Law and Policy, which was launched in 2020.

Space Policy Institute

The Space Policy Institute at George Washington University is concerned with research and teaching on space policy issues in the United States. Its website provides information on courses and profiles of faculty members. It also makes available videos, articles, book chapters and reports on space law by faculty members, together with details of books.

Vietnamese Legal Translations

Web page from Australian based law firm Allens which provides English translations of Vietnamese laws. This is a subscription service but a selection of Vietnamese laws translated into English are made freely available on the site.  Translations include laws on enterprises, investments, securities, cybersecurity, competition, bankruptcy, construction, land and the Labour Code.

Researching the legal aspects of asylum seekers and refugees in Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom

Guide to the legal materials relating to asylum seekers and refugees in Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom, written by Colin Fong, a senior visiting fellow at the University of New South Wales. Published on New York University's Globalex website and updated periodically, the guide covers the relevant legislation and case law and gives an overview of other sources, including government reports, monographs, treaties, journal articles and indexes, news sources, relevant organisations and websites. References are given to printed works and there are links to online materials.

Burundi legal system and research

Guide to the legal system and law of Burundi by lawyers Jean-Claude Barakamfitiye and Janvier Ncamatwi. Published on New York University's Globalex website in 2007 (and updated in 2024) it outlines the history and legal system of Burundi and the structure of its government,  describes the sources of law and the court system and examines human rights issues. It also gives links to Burundian internet resources, including news sites, NGOs and the government website.

Researching the law of the Vatican City State

Guide to researching the law of the Vatican City State (VCS) written by librarians Stephen Young and Alison Shea and updated by Italian lawyer Angelo Coccìa in 2024. The guide was published on the Globalex website which is run by the Hauser Global Law School Program at New York University. The authors give an introduction to the Vatican City State and its legal system and outline the sources of law, including the Lateran Treaty with the Republic of Italy, which gave independence to the VCS.

Vietnamese Benchbook online

Online version of the Benchbook of the Supreme People's Court of Vietnam, provided by AsianLII (the Asian Legal Information Institute). Published in 2008, the Benchbook is a manual for judges and it includes guidance for dealing with different types of cases in court. The book is organised in five parts: the role and functions of the People's Courts, the judges and assessors; the procedure for the hearing of criminal cases; the procedure for resolving civil cases; procedures for resolving administrative cases and for dealing with bankruptcy.

Centre for Comparative and Public Law

The Centre for Comparative and Public Law, based at the University of Hong Kong, conducts research in the fields of comparative and public law. Its website provides details of conferences, lectures and training courses held by the Centre and makes available its occasional papers, conference papers and other publications. There is also information about the Centre's research projects.
