Judiciary of Bermuda

This part of the Bermuda Government’s website provides information on the court system and judiciary in Bermuda with sections dealing with the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, Magistrates Court and the Supreme Court Registry. The site outlines the role of each court and gives weekly schedules, annual reports and contact details. Full text judgements are given for the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal back to 2007.

Laws of Botswana

Website providing access to Botswana legislation. This is a subscription site provided by Blackhall publishing. The aim is to offer subscribers principle and subsidiary legislation in force, fully consolidated and annotated. The laws are available back to 1890 and can be browsed alphabetically or by date and searched by keyword. The contents of the acts and some extracts are free to view.

Constitution of Botswana

Electronic copy of the 1966 Botswana Constitution made freely available online by the Comparative Constitutions Project at the University of Texas at Austin. The Constitution is provided in PDF and is amended up to 2016. There are chapters on fundamental rights and freedoms, citizenship, and the role of the Executive, Parliament and the Judiciary.

Bermuda Parliament

Official website of the Bermuda Parliament which is a bicameral legislature with two chambers - the House of Assembly (a lower house of elected members) and the Senate (the upper house with appointed members). The site has profiles of MPs and details of parliamentary committees. There are also bills, statutory instruments, standing orders and parliamentary questions given  for both houses. Hansard is available for the House of Assembly back to 2010.

ICC Dispute Resolution Library

Party free, partly fee-based collection of information about dispute resolution by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). Covers ICC awards, commentaries, rules, reports, videos, information about events and other material. Although much of the content is restricted to subscribers, non-subscribers can use the Advanced Search facility to look up ICC awards and find out where they have been published (this facility used to be known as ‘ICC awards by case number’).

UN-Habitat: Urban Law

This page on the UN-Habitat website provides information on urban law and the work of the Urban Legislation Unit. There is an overview of work of the unit - including UrbanLex, the urban law database - along with news and publications. 

Urban Law Center

The Urban Law Center is based at Fordham University School of Law. It focuses on law relating to cities and metropolitan regions. The website has details of news and events and provides publications, including the Center’s Urban Law Bulletin.

Researching the Right to Housing

Online guide to resources on housing rights written by S M Atia Naznin who is a lecturer at the School of Law, BRAC University, in Bangladesh. The guide was published in 2018 (and updated in 2024) on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The author provides an introduction and links to relevant sections of the UN International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights along with other related international and regional  instruments.
