Translated Norwegian Legislation

A searchable Web database providing free access to full-text Norwegian legislation (acts and regulations) in English translation. Legislation may be searched by date, number or words in the title. On screen help is offered on making searches. The database indicates dates, document numbering, language and format of the available translations. The translations are unofficial documents and only updated at the time of translation. Possible formats for linked texts include: HTML, PDF or Word. Bibliographic information is given for acts unavailable in electronic format.

Giustizia.it

Web pages from the Italian Ministry of Justice, in Italian only, offering a description of the Italian legal and court systems and an organisational chart of the Ministry. Profiles are given of the Minister and Under Secretaries and details of other departments within the Ministry. There is information on the Ministry's international policies and cooperation with other countries. The "Glossary" provides definitions of the most commonly used terms peculiar to the Italian justice system.

Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers

Website of ICANN, a technical coordination body for the internet. It is a non-profit corporation which coordinates the assignment of IP addresses, domain names, and protocol parameters. The site has organisational information, details of staff members and news items including an archive of ICANN's weekly newsletter. There is information on current and past topics the organisation is concerned with, details of committees and working groups and financial information.

Ontario's eLaws

This site, giving access to the full-text of Ontario's Current Consolidated Statutes online, is provided by the Ministry of Attorney General. Public and private statutes as enacted and regulations as filed are also made available back to 2000. This legislation can be searched or browsed on the site. Repealed statutes and and revoked regulations are also available along with Period in Time law for laws amended or affected by a coming into force event after January 1, 2004.

Electronic Code of Federal Regulations (e-CFR)

The e-CFR is a continually updated online version of the US Code of Federal Regulations, produced by the Office of the Federal Register and the Government Publishing Office. The eCFR can be browsed by title/subject and there are simple and advanced search facilities. There is also a link to the annual edition of the Code on the FDsys website. The annual edition is a digitally-signed and authenticated version, unlike the e-CFR: a disclaimer on the eCFR site warns that the eCFR is not the official legal version.

Federal Register

The US Federal Register is available from 1970 onwards from the official Federal Digital System website, browseable by date, with a link to a search facility. The Federal Register is the official daily publication for US federal rules, proposed rules, notices issued by federal agencies, presidential executive orders and other presidential documents. Each issue in pdf format and recent issues are also available in xml. The website is provided by the US Government Publishing Office (GPO).

Canada Gazette

The Canada Gazette is the official bulletin of the Government of Canada. It publishes acts of Parliament, regulations, government notices and public notices from private sector bodies. Since 1 April 2003, the pdf version of the Canada Gazette has had the same official status as the print edition. The website, which is in French and English, provides access to the Gazette from 1998 onwards. Users can subscribe to an RSS feed.

UK Statutory Instruments

The Legislation.gov.uk website brings together the legislation held on the OPSI website and revised legislation from the Statute Law Database. The site is hosted by The National Archives on behalf of HM Government. This section of the site provides access to full text UK statutory instruments, Wales statutory instruments and Northern Ireland orders in council. There is a complete collection available from 1987 onwards and a selection provided for earlier dates. Detailed Help pages and FAQs are provided along with a glossary of terms used on the site.

Western Australian Current Regulations

An AustLII database featuring current regulations of the State of Western Australia. The system offers a comprehensive search facility, regulation name search and alphabetical browse list. AustLII, the Australasian Legal Information Institute is a collaborative public service developed by the University of Technology to provide free Internet access to legislation and cases for Australia. Primary materials on AustLII are funded by the Law Foundation of New South Wales.

Victorian Consolidated Regulations

An AustLII database containing the full text consolidated regulations of the State of Victoria, Australia. The regulations can be searched or browsed alphabetically by name. AustLII (Australasian Legal Information Institute) is a collaborative public service, developed by the University of Technology, to provide free internet access to legislation and cases for Australia.
