League of Nations Archives

Comprehensive digitised archives of the League of Nations (predecessor of the UN). Includes all documents produced or received by the League of Nations from 1919 to 1946, material relating to the refugee work of Fridtjof Nansen, and documents of external bodies established by the League. Digitised maps, sound recordings and photographs are available as well as text documents, and each item has been catalogued in detail. Basic and advanced search facilities are provided and the material can also be browsed by category.

Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States

Website for the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), an intergovernmental organisation made up of 11 member states: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine.  The site provides background information about CIS, including details on its history and leadership, as well as a news section covering current projects and areas of cooperation between member countries.  There is a searchable register of documents containing full text CIS resolutions, treaties and other material dating back to 1991.  Do

Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Website of the Cypriot Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Provides policy information, news and guidance. Includes a collection of documents relating to the Cyprus Question and lists of multilateral and bilateral treaties involving Cyprus (with citations to Supplement 7 to the Cyprus Official Gazette, or ‘COG’). The site is available in English and Greek.

Hellenic Republic - Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The website of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs has information about the ministry’s structure and officeholders and about Greek foreign policy and bilateral relations. It also gives details of services for citizens, travellers and businesses. Press releases, speeches and statements are available in the Current Affairs section.The Ministry section provides a small collection of major treaties involving Greece, in either English or French. ATRIO: Archivio dei Trattati Internazionali Online

ATRIO (formerly 'ITRA') is a treaty database maintained by the Italian Foreign Affairs Ministry. It contains information about Italian treaties in force and provides the full text of many treaties. For information about a particular treaty's place of signature, date in force and so on, click on ‘Vedi Dettaglio’ (‘See Details’). ATRIO is mostly in Italian, but some of the treaties are in English or other languages.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia

Official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia. There is information about the Foreign Affairs Minister and the Ministry. Under Diplomatic Relations there are contact details for Georgia's embassies and information on Georgia's bilateral and multilateral relations and with various international organisations. The website is available in Georgian and English.

 

Estonian ministry of foreign affairs

Official website for the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, available in Estonia, Russian, German and English, covering all areas of foreign policy and diplomacy, and international law. Contains the full text in English of all Estonian treaties (bilateral and multilateral), which can be searched from the ‘International agreements’ link. All legislation relating to the work of the ministry is provided in the relevant sections, translated into all the languages of the website.

Direcção-Geral da Politica de Justiça (DGPJ)

The DGPJ is a state central body of direct administration. It gives technical support related to the production of legislation and monitors policies and strategic planning and international affairs. Sections of the site give background information on these roles. Full text access is given to the Justice Statistical database and to the Justice Laws project (Leis da Justiça). This legislation project is divided into chapters relating to different areas of law relevant to the work of the DGPJ. Each chapter has an introduction and links to the full text legislation..

United Nations

The United Nations (UN) website provides details of its work in the fields of peace and security, development, human rights, humanitarian affairs and international law. There are sections covering the UN's main bodies: the General Assembly, the Security Council, the Economic and Social Council, the Trusteeship Council, the International Court of Justice and the Secretariat.
