Guide to Panama’s Legal System and Research

Guide to the legal system of Panama, by Panamanian lawyers Alvaro Aguilar-Alfu and Kedar Rudy. The research guide was published in 2011 on the Globalex website, which is run by the Hauser Global Law School Program at New York University. It covers the development of the legal system, Panamanian legal concepts and the court system and government of Panama. Links are provided to legal and governmental websites for the jurisdiction.

Wired-GOV

Wired-Gov is a personalised email alerting service which offers the latest information on news, press releases and publications from several hundred UK government departments, official agencies, quangos and advisory bodies covering all areas of social, economic and political policy. It is free to all public sector workers, other users must pay for a subscription, although some basic news headlines and a directory of links to key websites is offered free of charge. Alerts may be sent daily, weekly or at other intervals. There is a searchable archive dating back to 1998.

This website is produced by the Cabinet Office’s European and Global Issues Secretariat. It makes available the Secretariat’s explanatory memoranda concerning European Union legislative and policy initiatives, in a searchable database.

Official website of the Australian Treasury the department with responsibility for the Government’s economic policy. The site has organisational information and profiles of ministers. There is information and documentation on the Treasury’s areas of responsibility including company law and corporate governance, economic issues, financial services, foreign investment and taxation. Publications made available on the website include press releases, speeches, consultation documents, working papers, policy documents and annual reports.

Australian Government: Department of Finance and Deregulation

Official website of the Australian Department of Finance and Deregulation whose areas of responsibility cover delivery of the Australian Government Budget, deregulation reform, financial management of public sector bodies and government procurement. The site has information on the structure of the Department and its Business Groups. Legislation administered by the Department is linked to on the site and there are policy and corporate documents and budgetary information available to view.
