Liechtenstein LILEX

Online collection of full-text laws of Liechtenstein published by the Government Legal Services. The site provides access to both consolidated legislation and the original versions taken from the Liechtenstein Legal Gazette (Landesgesetzblatt, LBGl). Laws are arranged by national legislation and international treaties and subjects can be viewed within these categories. These include private law, criminal law, finance, defence and the economy. Legislation can also be searched by keyword using simple or advanced search options.

International Child Abduction Database

The International Child Abduction Database (INCADAT) was established by the Hague Conference on Private International Law and is made freely available on their website. INCADAT provides access to decisions taken by national courts in respect of the 1980 Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction. Decisions can be browsed by state or searched for using parameters such as case name, court, judges, state, date, legal basis or keyword. The full record (requires free registration) also includes a summary of the facts of the case.

International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea

The International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (ITLOS) is a judicial body established by the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea. It is based in the German city of Hamburg. The website provides proceedings and judgments from the first case onwards, together with statutes, rules, regulations, the text of the Convention and other agreements and press releases. Background information about the Tribunal is available, as are profiles of the judges and information about procedure. The site is in English and French.

Reference Guide to the Geneva Conventions

Online guide to the Geneva Conventions made available on the website of the Society of Professional Journalists in the United States. The site contains an alphabetical subject listing providing definitions and links to specific parts of the Conventions dealing with each subject. The complete text of the Conventions is given along with historical and background information. The site also provides a bibliography and a page of web links to related organisations.

Convention on the Rights of the Child

This site, focusing on the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), forms part of the UNICEF website. There is background information and a full text copy of the Convention along with FAQs and factsheets. UNICEF's report the State of the World's Children is available to download in full text from the site. The 2009 report celebrates 20 years of the Convention and focuses on children's rights in different countries. Case studies and interviews with experts on children's rights are available as videos on the site.

Child Abduction Section

Child Abduction Section of the website of the Hague Conference on Private International Law (HCCH). There is a full text copy of the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction 1980 and a list of countries who have signed or ratified the Convention. Contact details for the relevant government authority in each country is given along with documentation relating to the Convention and relevant HCCH publications.

Center for Oceans Law and Policy

Website of the Center for Oceans Law and Policy (COLP) a research and education centre focusing on legal and public policy issues relating to the oceans and based at the University of Virginia School of Law. The site provides details of courses run at the COLP and publications produced by the Centre. There is a section providing information and documentation relating to the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea. Materials include a full text copy of the Convention, a list of parties and related agreements and testimonies and letters supporting United States accession to the Convention.

United Nations: Department of Economic and Social Affairs Disability

This part of the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs website provides information on the Department's work involving people with disabilities. There is a link to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and to information on the work of other UN agencies concerning disabilities. There is guidance on how the Sustainable Development Goals work for disabled people and details of recent events and issues are given.

Flare Index to Treaties

The Flare Index to Treaties is a free searchable database containing details of more than 2000 of the most significant multilateral treaties from about 1600 onwards, together with selected bilateral treaties signed between 1353 and 1815. The index was compiled by Dr Peter Clinch of Cardiff University and is hosted on the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (IALS) website at the University of London. Entries are taken from "Multilateral Treaties: Index and Current Status" by Michael Bowman and David Harris and from other sources.

Indigenous and Tribal Peoples

This section of the International Labour Organization (ILO) website deals with the employment rights of indigenous and tribal peoples. There is background information on the ILOãs work with indigenous and tribal peoples and details of ILO projects designed to provide support and assistance to these people and to governments. Full text copies of international legal instruments promoting the rights of indigenous and tribal peoples are provided on the site along with their ratifications and an account of the effects these conventions have had.
