Carey Olsen

Carey Olsen is a Channel Islands law firm which covers a range of practice areas, including company and commercial, banking and financial, restructuring and insolvency, trusts, property, employment, competition, litigation and dispute resolution. The Publications section of its website provides a collection of articles produced by the firm on the law of Jersey and Guernsey, together with summaries of recent Jersey and Guernsey judgments. Financial Reporting Council

The Financial Reporting Council is the UK independent regulator which deals with corporate reporting and governance. The site contains information about the work of the FRC, a list of members and the text of its annual review which summarises the work of all parts of the organisation for the year along with the Report and Accounts. There are some free copies of accounting standards on the website.

German business and commercial laws: guide to translations into English and select auxiliary sources

A bibliographic guide to business and commercial laws in the Federal Republic of Germany, listing English translations, research aids and sources. The guide was written by Dr. Sebastian Omlor who is Professor of Law and Director of the Institute for Comparative Law at the University of Marburg School of Law in Germany. The guide was published in 2005 (and updated in 2022) on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law.

Centre for Corporate and Commercial Law, University of Cambridge

The Centre for Corporate and Commercial Law (3CL), University of Cambridge, was established in 1997. It promotes research on corporate and commercial law through conferences, research support, fellowships, visiting fellows, and publications. This site outlines all of its activities over the past five years, and profiles the research interests of key members of staff and the management committee. A schedule of forthcoming seminars and conferences is included, as are profiles of recent publications, including the Journal of Corporate Law Studies (JCLS).

Corporate and Insolvency Law Policy Directorate

Web page describing the law reform initiatives of Canada's Corporate and Insolvency Law Policy Directorate (CILPD), which is responsible for reviewing Canada's business and insolvency laws, regulations and policies. The CILPD forms part of the Marketplace Framework Policy Branch of Industry Canada. The site publishes a number of consultation documents, questionnaires and background research documents on subjects such as bankruptcy and insolvency law, corporate not-for-profit law and Canada's law on cooperatives. A list of the legislation currently under review is published.

Company Law Club

Company Law Club is a website providing company law information and offering company law services. Run by Company Law Solutions Ltd., the site includes introductory information about company law, links to legislation, newsletters and other material. Its Company Law Library covers topics such as shares, trademarks, company formation, legislation and the role of directors. Links to other resources concerned with company law are available, both for UK and overseas. Forms concerned with company law can be displayed (PDF) and these originate in Companies House.

Bond Law Review

Peer reviewed open-access journal published by Bond University, Queensland, Australia. Focuses on Australian law and occasionally that of other jurisdictions, including New Zealand and China. The entire series is available, from volume 1, 1989, onwards.

Companies House (UK)

All limited companies in the UK must register with Companies House, which is an Executive Agency of the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. The Companies House section of the UK government website provides a free database of company information, covering the current and previous names of each company, its registered address, insolvency details (if any) and other data. It also provides guidance on guides about setting up a company, registering a company related matters, and makes available official forms.

LawTroves

LawTroves are a selection of legal resource guides compiled by United States law firm Swiggart & Agin, LLC. The guides are focused on Massachusetts law and cover bankruptcy, corporate law, real estate and trademark and domain names. Each LawTrove provides access to FAQs, legislation, organisations, reading lists and other legal resources.

Babbé

Website of Babbé, a Guernsey law firm specialising in commercial law and litigation, trust and company law and insolvency. The Library section of the site (available via the Corporate and Commercial, Trust and Fiduciary, and Insolvency pages) has a collection articles produced by the firm about relevant aspects of Guernsey law. The Private Client Services section provides guides to wills, probate, inheritance and guardianship in Guernsey. There is also a Conveyancing section (linked from Private Client Services), which has guides to aspects of Guernsey property law
