Provides judgments (under 'Opinions'), rules and guidance, transcripts of oral arguments, a docket search facility which can be used to look up the status of any case filed at the Supreme Court from 2001 onwards and a case citation finder. Also includes the Journal of the Supreme Court, news releases and other information.

New York Legislative Service

Website of the non-profit research organisation the New York Legislative Service which focuses on New York State and New York City law and legislation. There is information on the site about NY Legislative Service publications and services. The site briefly explains various aspects of the New York legislative process and provides links to New York state and city government agencies.

beSpacific

Website of beSpacific, a law and technology weblog written by Sabrina I. Pacifici, a law librarian and co-founder of the legal web journal LLRX.com. The site is intended for legal professionals, librarians and researchers and focuses on United States news, providing a digest of legal stories covering "e-government, copyright, privacy, government documents, cybercrime and ID theft, the Patriot Act, and freedom of information." Each story has one or more subject headings and clicking these provides access to other stories within the same subject area eg.

Website of the Law Library Journal the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) official journal which is made freely available on their website. The Law Library Journal is published quarterly with issues back to Winter 2000 available in full-text and presented in PDF format. The journal contains articles on law, legal materials and librarianship along with reports from conferences, committees and special interest sections and book reviews.

Website of WorkersCompensation.com a United States based company providing information on workers compensation. The site is aimed at employers, employees and workers' compensation professionals. The information is arranged by state and includes relevant statutes, rules and forms along with factual information covering insurance requirements, benefits, attorney fees, statistics and contact information. There is a discussion board and links to news stories and legislative updates.

Supreme Court Historical Society

The Supreme Court Historical Society is a non-profit organisation which seeks to preserve and disseminate historical information about the US Supreme Court. The Society organises lectures, holds training for school teachers and publishes books, a journal and an index of Supreme Court opinions.. The website has a detailed history of the Court, with profiles and pictures of the justices and information about the different places where the Supreme Court has been sited. There is background information about how the Court works, the role of its officers and the types of cases heard.

Regulations.gov

Regulations.gov allows US citizens to access and comment upon every final and proposed regulation currently open for consideration in the US government legal newspaper 'The Federal Register'. These cover all aspects of economic, social and political legislation. It is possible to search by document type (such as public submissions, notices or rules), date, agency and docket type. Each entry gives a link to the text of the regulation and submitted comments can be read. Documents can be viewed in full text PDF or HTML.

National Institute of Corrections

The National Institute of Corrections (NIC) a part of the United States Department of Justice. NIC provides "leadership to influence correctional policies, practices, and operations nationwide in areas of emerging interest and concern to correctional executives and practitioners as well as public policymakers." There is an online library, publications and information on training and projects.

Freedom of Information Center

Website of the Freedom of Information Center, an online library based at the University of Missouri School of Journalism. The Center was established in 1958 and contains over a million articles on freedom of information in the United States. The home page has links to current news stories and the FOI Advocate, an online newsletter, provides a digest of news stories with links to the full-text and online reports. The guide to media law is aimed specifically at journalists and includes links to organisations, judgements and legal research sites.

Annual Survey of American Law

Website of the online legal journal Annual Survey of American Law which is a student edited journal of the New York University School of Law . The journal was established in 1942 and is concerned with "exploring contemporary legal developments in the United States". The link is to the current issue, but other recent issues back to 1999 are also available online. The journal organises and publishes proceedings from an annual symposium covering particular topics such as law and the media, church and the state, U.S. immigration and the future of public education.
