China Patent Agent (H.K.)

Firm of patent and trademark attorneys established in Hong Kong in 1984 as a quasi-government entity to provide legal services for overseas clients. The site provides Chinese patent laws (in English), treaties, case summaries, forms and FAQs. The site can be viewed in English, German, Japanese and Chinese, but the content is not all available in every language.

Basic Law Drafting History Online

Compilation of information and documents from the drafting history of the Hong Kong's Basic Law (constitution), provided by of the Centre for Comparative and Public Law and the University of Hong Kong Libraries. Materials are arranged into the following sections: Drafting Materials; News Coverage; the LEGCO Database and Textual History.

The China Collection

Blog focusing on Chinese law edited by Donald Clarke of George Washington University Law School and other specialists in Chinese law and related affairs. It covers Chinese legal developments, conferences, publications and research resources and has an archive extending back to 2005. The site has links to a set of research guides on Chinese law.

Chinese Legal Research

Annotated resource guide to Chinese legal materials, by the Lillian Goldman Library at Yale Law School. Gives links to Chinese law research guides, official websites and other sites; also lists books, databases and journals for Chinese law research. Some of the resources listed require a subscription and some are in Chinese only.

Exploitation of women and children: a comparative study of human trafficking laws between the United States-Mexico and China-Vietnam

Online guide by Christina T. Le, Judicial Law Clerk to the U.S. Immigration Court in Houston. The guide was published in 2007 (and updated in 2021 by Christina T. Le with assistance from Cathleen S. Creeganon) on New York University's Globalex website. It provides background information to human trafficking and looks at the efforts of the international community to address the problem. An overview is given of trafficking between the US and Mexico and between China and Vietnam, including statistics and details of legislation.
