Home Office

The Home Office is the Government department responsible for internal affairs in England and Wales. Its website contains details of Home Office ministers, directorates and agencies. It also offers access to information on current government activities and legislation and a large number of full-text official documents, statistics, consultation papers and bills. Key areas covered include immigration and passports, policing, crime, drugs policy and counter-terrorism.

HM Treasury

The HM Treasury website contains the full-text of HM Treasury publications, including press releases, ministers' speeches, economic data / tools, reports on policy issues and details of Treasury running costs. It also contains full details of the Budget, the Pre-Budget Report and the Spending Review, as well as, details of current legislation / consultations. Areas covered by the Treasury include public private partnerships, financial services, public spending, taxation, enterprise and productivity and the UK economy.

UK Government Web Archive

The UK Government Web Archive is run by The National Archives. It collects and makes available an archive of snapshots of selected government websites. The chosen websites fall into the broad categories of: Business, industry, economics and finance; Culture and leisure; Environment; Government, politics and public administration; Health, well-being and care; International affairs and defence; People, community and housing; Public order, justice and rights; Transport, communication and technology; and Work, education and skills.

Northern Ireland Executive

The Northern Ireland Executive is the executive arm of the Northern Ireland Assembly. The website includes links to local councils and other Northern Ireland bodies. Other sections of the site give information on the programme for government, the Budget, ministers and their departments, the ministerial code, publications and consultations. There is also news, historical information and background to the organisation.

Public bodies publications

This collection, provided by the Cabinet Office brings together all documents relating to public bodies. This includes documents related to reform of public bodies, public bodies and guidance for departments. The reports provide data relating to each executive agency, non-departmental public body, and non-ministerial department. Includes annual editions of the annual publication (now ceased), Public Bodies, 1997 to 2015.

Privy Council Office

The Privy Council is the institution which allows interdepartmental agreement to be reached on certain aspects of UK government business. Its website provides information about its role and current activities, including an explanation of the orders in council, a list of all orders in council made by the Privy Council since 2000 and information about Royal charters. There is also a link to the separate website of the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council.

Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport

Website of the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), the UK government department responsible for the arts, architecture, design and the built environment, broadcasting, the creative industries (including film and music), cultural property, education and social policy, heritage, libraries, museums and galleries, the National Lottery, sport and recreation and tourism. The website includes press notices, publications, consultations, and results of research. It also explains DCMS policy at local, regional and international levels.
