The Canadian Intellectual Property Office's Canadian Patents Database provides access to patent descriptions and images from 1869 to the present day. The database, which is in English and French, contains over 2 million patent documents which can be searched for using either keywords, the patent document number, a Boolean search and other search options. For patents granted prior to 15th August 1978, the text of the abstracts and claims is not available.

The CIPO is responsible for the administration and processing of much of the intellectual property in Canada and has official responsibilities in regard to patents, trade-marks, copyrights, industrial designs and integrated circuit topographies.
This site, giving access to the full-text of Ontario's Current Consolidated Statutes online, is provided by the Ministry of Attorney General. Public and private statutes as enacted and regulations as filed are also made available back to 2000. This legislation can be searched or browsed on the site. Repealed statutes and and revoked regulations are also available along with Period in Time law for laws amended or affected by a coming into force event after January 1, 2004.
The International Centre for Criminal Law Reform and Criminal Justice Policy is an independent non-profit institute, officially affilated with the United Nations and based at the Faculty of Law, University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. The website contains publications, occasional papers and reports which can be ordered online or downloaded in PDF. The site gives details of the following programmes conducted by the Centre: Corrections Programme; China Programme; Transnational Organised Crime; UN Congress on Crime and International Criminal Court.

Legislation can be browsed alphabetically, by department or searched by keyword or ISBN. A complete list of acts and/or regulations can also be viewed. Codes administered by the Government of Alberta, the Government of Canada and the Canadian Standards Association are also provided on the site.
The Canada Gazette is the official bulletin of the Government of Canada. It publishes acts of Parliament, regulations, government notices and public notices from private sector bodies. Since 1 April 2003, the pdf version of the Canada Gazette has had the same official status as the print edition. The website, which is in French and English, provides access to the Gazette from 1998 onwards. Users can subscribe to an RSS feed.
Website for the academic journal, Canadian Journal of Family Law, edited by Faculty of Law staff at the University of British Columbia. The journal is dedicated to family law and legal issues associated with domestic relations, and published twice a year. Articles focus on both Canadian federal and provincial law drawing on relevant caselaw. The site presents contents and abstracts of articles from Volume 1 no.1 (January 1978) onwards to date.
