Singapore Journal of Legal Studies

Website of the Singapore Journal of Legal Studies, a peer reviewed journal published by the Faculty of Law at the National University of Singapore. The SJLS focuses on legal developments in Singapore, Asia and other common law countries. The site provides abstracts of articles back to 1991, contents pages back to 1959 and selected full-text (PDF) available from 2004 onwards. Recent articles have looked at the use of trusts in Asia, enforcing corporate disclosure, transnational crime and the rights of users in works protected by copyright.

Singapore Yearbook of International Law

Website of the Singapore Yearbook of International Law (previously the Singapore Journal of International and Comparative Law), published by the Faculty of Law at the National University of Singapore. The series covers all aspects of international law, with a particular emphasis on South-east Asian law. The contents pages of every issue are provided on the website; from 2004 onwards, selected articles are available in full.

Attorney General's Chambers of Singapore

Website of the Attorney General of Singapore who is the principal legal advisor to the government. The site has background information about the role and history of the Attorney General and the work of the various divisions within the Attorney General's Chambers. Publications are provided in full text PDF. These include consultation papers, speeches, law reform reports and legislation. There is also a link to the Singapore Statutes Online database providing access to the full text of all current acts of Singapore.

Singapore Academy of Law

The Singapore Academy of Law (SAL) is a membership organisation for the legal profession in Singapore. Its website has historical, financial, and corporate information about SAL, along with news updates, membership details and a directory of senior counsel in Singapore. The Digital Library provides full access to Law Reform Committee Publications and LawNet Papers, as well as access to selected articles from the SAL Journal, the Inter Se journal and the Asian Journal on Mediation. A number of SAL speeches and lectures are available as well.

DMC's Case Notes

Website produced by David Martin-Clark who is a Shipping, Transport and Insurance Consultant. The site provides a selection of case notes covering recent shipping and insurance cases. Case notes include citations, keywords and summaries. Shipping cases are further sub-divided by topics such as admiralty, arbitration and carriage of goods. New case notes can be emailed if you register on the site. There are also biographical details relating to David Martin-Clark and information on other contributors.

Law Online

Law Online is a portal to Singapore legal resources. The site is available in English and provides links to legal resources organised by subject including legislation, family law, intellectual property law as well as financial, property and business sites. There is a directory of links to Singapore legal firms along with other legal institutions, associations, government departments, journals and news sites. The site also provides access to sites providing sample forms and documents.

Constitution of Singapore

The Singapore Constitution, provided by th eInternational Constitutional Law (ICL) initiative at the University of Bern in Switzerland. The Constitution was adopted in 1963 and the ICL version includes amendments up to 1995.The site also includes the Constitution schedules, a link to the Singapore Government website and explanatory notes to the Constitution.

LawNet

Website of LawNet, a legal research website produced by the Singapore Academy of Law. The site provides a range of legal information, by subscription, including case law of Singapore and Malaysia, Singaporean legislation, parliamentary reports, treaties and commentary.

Singapore Law Gazette

Website of the Singapore Law Gazette, a quarterly journal published by the Law Society of Singapore. The Gazette contains news, feature articles, legal updates (latest cases and legislation) and regular columns covering the Bar, IT issues and practice tips. It is available on the site back to January 2000.
