Royal Court of Guernsey

Official website of the Royal Court of Guernsey which covers a range of activities including  criminal and civil court proceedings and meetings of Guernsey's parliament. The site has information on the court system in guernsey with links to the various courts. There is a copy of the constitution, a history of Guernsey law and court forms to download. Information on the different types of legislation and a link to Guernsey Legal Resources website is also given along with profiles of the Bailiff, Greffe and other legal officials.

Carey Olsen is a Channel Islands law firm which covers a range of practice areas, including company and commercial, banking and financial, restructuring and insolvency, trusts, property, employment, competition, litigation and dispute resolution. The Publications section of its website provides a collection of articles produced by the firm on the law of Jersey and Guernsey, together with summaries of recent Jersey and Guernsey judgments. States of Guernsey Government

The States of Guernsey is the official legislative and governing body of the Island of Guernsey and the other inhabited Channel Islands of Alderney, Sark, Herm, Jethou, Brecqhou and Lihou. The site's Social Security and Income Tax pages include relevant legislation. Official publications, such as consultation papers, are available on the general Government page and the departmental pages. The About Guernsey section has a description of the parliamentary system. Press releases are also available on the site.

Guernsey Bar

The Website of the Guernsey Bar provides information about Guernsey law and advocates. It has contact details for members and a directory of Guernsey law firms, together with information about the role of an advocate and a history of the Guernsey Bar. There is also advice on instructing an advocate, getting legal aid and making a complaint. The guidance on Guernsey law covers civil proceedings, criminal proceedings and family proceedings. Full-text legislation and links to legislation are also given.

Babbé

Website of Babbé, a Guernsey law firm specialising in commercial law and litigation, trust and company law and insolvency. The Library section of the site (available via the Corporate and Commercial, Trust and Fiduciary, and Insolvency pages) has a collection articles produced by the firm about relevant aspects of Guernsey law. The Private Client Services section provides guides to wills, probate, inheritance and guardianship in Guernsey. There is also a Conveyancing section (linked from Private Client Services), which has guides to aspects of Guernsey property law

Guernsey Legal Resources

The Guernsey Legal Resources website is a joint initiative of the Royal Court of Guernsey and the Law Officers of the Crown. The site a range of materials, including laws of Guernsey, Alderney, Sark and the Bailiwick of Guernsey (the latter consists of the three jurisdictions of Guernsey, Alderney and Sark) and ordinances for Guernsey and Sark. The Guernsey Law Reports 2003 to 2012 are available, with indexes by case (reported and cited), subject and legislation cited.
