International Compliance Association

The International Compliance Association (ICA) promotes regulatory and financial compliance and professional conduct in the financial sector around the world. Its website contains information on the roles of the ICA and qualifications approved by and run by it. It also gives basic information about financial crimes and unprofessional conduct within the financial sector. Articles by members of the ICA are available, as well as news items and the ICA code of conduct. There are links to national and international banks and banking regulation organisations worldwide.

Banco Central Do Brazil

Site of the National Bank of Brazil, providing resources in Portuguese and English. In addition to background information about the role and work of the Bank, the site provides sections on the economy and finance, inflation targeting, exchange and foreign capital, the national financial system, supervision and the Brazilian payment system. Media formats used include text, video, photos and podcasts. Official publications of the Bank are available in full text.

Fazenda: Ministério da Fazenda

Site of the Brazilian Ministry of Finance. Provides background information about the role and work of the department and a wide selection of relevant documents. These are in PDF format . Links are given to relevant full text legislation on other related sites. The department has a library with an online catalogue. A separate publicity section gives access to printed notices and recorded interviews which can be viewed and downloaded. All interviews , documents and notices are in Portuguese only.

Labuan FSA official website

The Labuan Financial Services Authority is a statutory body created under the Labuan Financial Services Act 1996. It is responsible for the development and administration of the Labuan International Business and Financial Centre and acts as its central regulatory, supervisory and enforcement authority. The website gives details of the legislation and guidelines governing the business activities of the Labuan IBFC. There is also more general information about Labuan FSA (organisation chart, staff directory, mission statement) and the activities of the Labuan IBFC.

Securities Commission Malaysia

The Securities Commission is a statutory body with investigative and enforcement powers and a range of regulatory functions based around protecting the investor and encouraging and promoting the development of the securities and derivatives market in Malaysia. This is its official website and contains an overview of the Securities Commission and its work, details of relevant legislation and guidelines, information on capital market licencing, capital market data and statistics, press releases and careers information. It can be viewed in Bahasa Melayu as well as English.

European Systemic Risk Board

The European Systemic Risk Board (ESRB) was set up by the European Commission in 2010 in response to the financial crisis. It has a mandate to “oversee risk in the financial system as a whole”. Together with the ESA and the EIOPA it forms part of the ESFS (European System of Financial Supervision). The main text of the site, the Annual Report and Board Recommendations are available in a wide range of European languages. Attached explanatory documents are in PDF format and are available in French, German, Italian, Spanish and Polish.

European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority

The European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) forms part of the European System of Financial Supervision, together with two other supervisory authorities and the European Systemic Risk Board. Core responsibilities of this body include support of the stability of the financial system and protection of insurance policy holders and members/beneficiaries of pension schemes. Sections of its website cover background information, press releases and publications relating to the policies and work of the organisation. Full-text documents are provided, mainly in PDF format.

Pump Court Tax Chambers

This is the website of Pump Court Tax Chambers, a UK set of barristers’ chambers specialising in tax law. The ‘Resources’ section lists full-text judgments from 2005 onwards, available in PDF. This section includes articles written by Pump Court’s barristers from 2010 onwards, which again are in PDF format. There is also a small publications section.

President of Estonia

Official website of the president of Estonia, available in Estonian, English and Russian. Contains an archive of presidential speeches and addresses, and press releases pertaining to the president. Also contains information about the office and duties of the president, previous heads of state, the full text of the constitution and the declaration of independence, and recipients of Estonian state decorations. All information can be browsed from the home page, where there is also a very limited search function.

Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Estonia

Official website of the Estonian Ministry if Finance. Contains information and official documents relating to all aspects of the ministry’s work, such as the economy, state aid, tax policy, gambling and public procurement. All sections can be accessed from a hyperlinked index on the right of the welcome screen, or the site can be keyword searched across. Copies of the relevant legislation affecting each area is also provided, in English translation if the site is being accessed in English. Site appears to be regularly maintained and updated
