Competition Law Scholars Forum

The Competition Law Scholars Forum (CLaSF) was established in 2002 with the aim of promoting scholarship in the field of competition law. The website includes information about the aims and objectives of CLaSF and membership details. There is information about workshops organised by ClaSF and other events relevant to competition law. The site also has contact details for forum members and a copy of the constitution. A series of working papers can be downloaded from the site.

Conseil de la Concurrence

Website of the Conseil de la Concurrence, the French Competition Council. The Council advises the French Government on competition, and exercises jurisdiction when market competition is distorted. It investigates cartel agreements, abuses of dominant position and low price fixing, as reported to it by government, firms, local authorities, trade associations or other organisations. The site includes details of the Council's organisational and legislative background and an outline of its procedure. The Commercial Code and laws relevant to the Competition Council are included on the site.

Competition Tribunal

A CanLII database including all decisions rendered by the Competition Tribunal of Canada since 1990. The data is supplied by and also available on the Tribunal's official website. Decisions can be searched or browsed by date on the site. CanLII, the Canadian Legal Information Institute, is a key service providing free access to Canadian primary legal materials. The service has been designed by LexUM at the University of Montreal (using software developed by AustLII) on the initiative of the Federation of Law Societies of Canada.

APEC Competition Policy and Law Database

APEC is a forum for the promotion of open trade and economic cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region. The APEC Competition Policy and Law Database is a free resource; it includes members' competition policies and laws, competition decision guidelines, administrative and judicial decisions, international agreements, statistics and other information. A collection of links to official trade and competition websites is also provided.

Centre for Competition Law and Policy

Website of the Centre for Competition Law and Policy (CCLP) at the University of Oxford. Teaching and research focuses on competition regulation in the UK, EU and US, as well international aspects of competition law and antitrust economics. Training programmes on competition law and policy are offered to practitioners, judges, academics and students. The site has profiles of staff and details of conferences, workshops and lectures taking place at the CCLP.

FTC guide to antitrust laws

Online guide to the antitrust laws of the United States produced by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and made freely available on the FTC website. The site gives an overview of the three core federal antitrust laws- theSherman Act, the Federal Trade Commission Act and the Clayton Act. There are also sections dealing with the bodies responsible for enforcing the law, monopolies, mergers, price discrimination and competitor collaboration including practices such as price fixing, market division and bid rigging. Each section can be viewed in HTML and as a PDF factsheet.

PLC Competition is a subscription database aimed at commercial lawyers and competition specialists providing updates, practical guidance and information on developments in key areas of competition law. PLC Competition is one of the services offered by legal information provider, Practical Law Company. The service includes information on UK competition law in the form of practice notes, checklists, precedents and other resources.
