Online guide to United Nations resources compiled by Linda Tashbook who is Foreign International Comparative Law Librarian at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law's Barco Law Library. The guide was published in 2005 and updated in 2022 on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School at the New York University School of Law. The author suggests search strategies for finding information by and about the UN and covers the use of different types of research tools available such as directories, databases and research guides. Advice is given for common queries such as finding someone involved with the UN, looking at areas of UN work and tracking down particular organisations or documents. There are links to subject-based research guides and resource collections, UN databases and training manuals. Links are given to online glossaries dealing with particular UN functions including development, education, environment, debt and financial management terms. Online directories of UN staff working for units subsidiary to the General Assembly and units under the Security Council and the Economic and Social Council are also listed.
