The Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR) was established in 1966. It is a leading independent US body which campaigns and litigates for the protection of US civil liberties and international human rights. Its website provides information on the aims of the organisation and its campaigns. It includes access to press releases, case notes, campaign materials and full-text pamphlets and reports. Topics covered by these include: international human rights, civil rights and civil liberties in the USA, the prevention of government misconduct, racial, social and economic justice and measures to increase the corporate responsibility of multinational corporations. The International human rights section includes materials relating to human rights in the post September 11th era including the detention of terrorist suspects at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
