The guide is published on the Globalex website and is made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The author provides guidance on locating information and documentation about Indian laws with links to web resources and bibliographic details for standard books and commentaries on selected topics. There are sections on the history of the legal system in India, the Indian Constitution (including a link to the 2002 review of the Constitution), Union executive and legislature, State legislature, division of power and Union and State Judiciary. There is also an outline of primary and secondary sources of law. This 2016 version updates the guide published in 2003 on LLRX.com (Law Library Resource Xchange) the online web journal for legal information professionals.
