Online guide providing an introduction to Luxembourg law written by Nicolas Henckes who is the Director of Legitech a Luxembourg legal publisher. The guide was published in 2009 (and updated in 2020 by Laurence Raphael) on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The author gives an introduction to the history and legal system of Luxembourg outlining the executive and legislative powers and the court system. There is also guidance on key sources of Luxembourg law including legislative acts, circular letters and case law. The guide has a section looking at the legal profession and includes references to printed texts on Luxembourg law. Links are given to official and governmental websites and to other free and subscription sites providing Luxembourg legal information.
