Website of the International Association for Legislation (IAL), a charitable organisation that started in 1991 as the European Association of Legislation. The aim of the IAL is to improve legislation, promote research and teaching and to strengthen international cooperation in the field of legislation. Members of IAL include universities, law societies, national associations for legislation, parliamentary and government officials. The Association holds conferences and lectures and produces publications some of which can be downloaded from the site including the IAL Newsletter. There are links to legislative drafting rules for the various member countries and details of research projects the IAL is involved with.
