Society of International Economic Law

The Society of International Economic Law (SIEL) is a global association for academics working in the field of international economic law, as well as for practitioners and officials with an interest in the academic side of the subject. Its website describes the aims and activities of the Society. It has details of the Society’s conferences, with links to the conference papers on SSRN. There is also a News page, and Resources page which lists academic programmes on international economic law at various universities around the world.

Nigerian Bar Association

Website of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), the professional organisation representing lawyers called to the Nigerian bar. Provides information about the association, including the text of the constitution and its advisory body, the Office of the President of the Nigerian Bar Association (OPNBA). There are details of NBA committees, sections and fora.

Interfaith Legal Advisers Network

The Interfaith Legal Advisers Network (ILAN), based at Cardiff Law School's Centre for Law and religion, brings together lawyers and administrators to share their experience of relgious law and the administration of religious organisations and to discuss the interface between State law and religous law. The ILAN webpages include an extensive collection of links to laws and regulatory documents of the major religious groups in the UK.

The Property Ombudsman

The Property Ombudsman provides an impartial service, approved by the UK government, helping consumers who are renting or selling residential property through an estate or property agent. Its website includes information about the scheme can provide, how to use it and how to join. It also includes an agents' section with an FAQ page for aiding estate agents dealing with complaints. There is a news section containing case studies, annual reports and press releases.

North Sea Transition Authority

The North Sea Transition Authority regulates the oil and gas, offshore hydrogen, and carbon storage industries and holds the industry to account on reducing emissions. The website sets out the regulatory framework, with links to key statutes such as the Petroleum Act 1998. The data section of the site has maps of licensable blocks in the UK's offshore territory. Also included is information on licence granting for oil searching. The News and Publications section includes consultation documents, reports, guidance, press releases and other material.

Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors

The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) is a professional and regulatory body for property professionals. The Regulation section of the RICS website provides the Rules of Conduct, information about disciplinary proceedings, guidance for professionals and advice about making a complaint. The RICS 'Red Book', entitled Valuation - Professional Standards, is available in the Knowledge section of the site.

International Compliance Association

The International Compliance Association (ICA) promotes regulatory and financial compliance and professional conduct in the financial sector around the world. Its website contains information on the roles of the ICA and qualifications approved by and run by it. It also gives basic information about financial crimes and unprofessional conduct within the financial sector. Articles by members of the ICA are available, as well as news items and the ICA code of conduct. There are links to national and international banks and banking regulation organisations worldwide.

Association of Regulatory & Disciplinary Lawyers

The Association of Regulatory & Disciplinary Lawyers was set up in 2002, and primarily exists for networking & sharing advice with other UK lawyers regarding regulatory and disciplinary law. Its website includes names and contact details for the committee, information on membership, and PDFs of back issues of the Association’s quarterly bulletin. Information about events, and news is also included, as well as links to other useful websites and organisations.
