Ontario Human Rights Commission
Official site of the Ontario Human Rights Commission which was established in 1961 to administer Ontario's Human Rights Code. The agency is accountable to the Legislature through the Minister of Citizenship. The site provides general information about the Commission and about the various rights Ontarians are entitled to. It also contains the full-text of the Human Rights Code, annual reports of the Commission, consultation and discussion documents, policies, plain language publications and guides.
Canadian Institute of Resources Law
Internet website providing general information about the Canadian Institute of Resource Law which was formed in 1979 by the University of Calgary to undertake and promote research in Canadian resource law and environmental issues. The website provides background details of the Institute's mandate, governance and management structure, with staff profiles and contacts list. Publications include reports, papers and conference proceedings, some of which are available in full text online.
Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission: Decisions, Notices and Orders
A database of Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) decisions, notices and orders (DNOs). Reporting to Parliament through the Minister of Canadian Heritage, the CRTC is "an independent agency responsible for regulating Canada's broadcasting and telecommunications systems." Decisions can be browsed by number and/or by keyword searching back to 1984 for most sections. The site is available in English and French, the official languages of Canada. Conseil de la Concurrence
Website of the Conseil de la Concurrence, the French Competition Council. The Council advises the French Government on competition, and exercises jurisdiction when market competition is distorted. It investigates cartel agreements, abuses of dominant position and low price fixing, as reported to it by government, firms, local authorities, trade associations or other organisations. The site includes details of the Council's organisational and legislative background and an outline of its procedure. The Commercial Code and laws relevant to the Competition Council are included on the site.
