De Jure
De Jure is an open access online general law journal published by the University of Pretoria, South Africa. The journal carries articles based on original research concerned with "the development and dissemination of cutting-edge legal research", as well as case law and book announcements. It has national and international scope. De Jure, edited by Professor Steve Cornelius, Faculty of Law, University of Pretoria, aims to support legal academics, practitioners and scholars in their legal research. Free and unrestricted access is available to volume 44 2011 onwards.
Jurispedia
Jurispedia, the shared law, is an academic project utilising an open source Wiki format which aims to offer information about all of the laws of every country in the world and is concerned with systems of law as well as legal and political sciences. The service provides information about the law and user-contributed articles relating to thirty countries currently.
Table of Regnal Years of English Sovereigns
The number of the regnal year is part of the citation for an old English statute; this table gives the exact dates of every regnal year from 1066 up to 1962. It is accompanied by an introduction explaining the various dating systems which have been used in England. The table and introduction have been reproduced from Sweet and Maxwell’s ‘Guide to Law Reports and Statutes’, 4th edition, 1962, and made available online by Harvard Law School Library.
QC Appointments
Website provided by the Queen’s Counsel Selection Panel’s Secretariat. Has information for applicants for the award of Queen’s Counsel (QC). Also includes press releases, and a statistical breakdown of recent applications by gender, ethnicity, area of law and other criteria.
Highway Code
Online version of the Highway Code, on the UK government’s DirectGov website. The Code applies to England, Wales and Scotland. The Introduction includes a link to a page called “The road user and the law”. The site warns that only the Department of Transport’s current printed edition should be used in legal proceedings.
English Reports Table
Alphabetical table of nominate reports giving the corresponding volume numbers in the English Reports, together with each report’s abbreviation and the time period and court that it covers. The table is provided by Lancaster University Library.
