Guinean legal system and research

Published on New York University's Globalex website and updated periodically, it gives an introduction to the Constitution and the roles of the President and the Prime Minister, and an overview of the functions and responsibilities of all the government departments.

SRA Handbook

Archived handbook (version 21, 2018) setting out past professional standards for solicitors in England and Wales, on the website of the Solicitors Regulation Authority. The handbook was replaced by the SRA Standards and Regulations on 25 November 2019.

Cambodia Tribunal Monitor

The Cambodia Tribunal Monitor is a consortium of academic and non-profit organisations providing news, information and commentary on the work of the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC), the special court set up to investigate and bring to justice senior leaders of the Khmer Rouge. The site has background and historical information about the Tribunal and the Khmer Rouge regime. There is documentation, webcasts of trial proceedings and video and written commentaries on the Tribunal.

Employment Court of New Zealand

Official website of the New Zealand Employment Court, which has jurisdiction over employment disputes. The site provides information on the history, role and structure of the court and gives an outline of its founding legislation. There is guidance on bringing a case and judgments are available from 2006 onwards, together with practice directions, court forms, statistics and other information.

English medieval legal documents database: a compilation of published sources from 600 - 1535

Online bibliography of published sources of English medieval legal documents compiled by Hazel Lord, Senior Law Librarian at the University of Southern California School of Law, and updated by Paul Moorman. Intended for scholars and students of English medieval law, the database takes the form of a research guide, with links to the university's library catalogue. Broad categories include case law, statutory law, administrative law, private legal documents, writs and pleadings, treatises, research guides and bibliographies; these categories are further subdivided by resource type and date.

Court Funds Office

Court Funds Office (CFO) page of the UK government website, with contact information and brief guidance about making a complaint. The CFO is responsible for money being paid into and out of the courts, money belonging to people who lack the capacity to make decisions themselves and children who have been awarded damages through civil proceedings. It also provides a banking and investment service for courts in England and Wales.

Jamaican Bar Association

The Jamaican Bar Association (JBA) is a voluntary body representing Jamaican attorneys-at-law. Its website includes information about the JBA and its sub-committees, news and events information. The Resources section provides seminar papers, practice directions, newsletters and other material.

Centre for Intellectual Property and Information Law

Website of the Centre for Intellectual Property and Information Law (CIPIL) at the University of Cambridge. Established in 2004, the centre carries out research into all aspects of intellectual property and information law, as well as holding conferences and seminars. The site gives information on research being carried out at the Centre and details of publications by its members. There are details of intellectual property related events and policy documents are provided.

Sugar Law Center for Economic and Social Justice

The Sugar Law Center is a non-profit organisation based in Michigan in the US, providing community legal support and advocacy, with a particular focus on low-income and displaced workers. Its website has details of its aims and projects. It also provides information about workers' rights and has a page devoted to guidance and advice regarding the Michigan Unemployment Insurance System.
