Supreme Court Database

The Supreme Court Database provides data and analysis on US Supreme Court cases from 1791 to 2024. The Database was created by Harold Spaeth who is Research Professor of Law at Michigan State University College of Law and Emeritus Professor of Political Science at Michigan State and is hosted by the Center for Empirical Research in the Law School at Washington University in St. Louis. The original aim of the database, which was created in the late 1980s, was to "include and classify every single vote by a Supreme Court justice in all argued cases over a five-decade period".

National Judicial College of Australia

Website of the National Judicial College of Australia, the organisation that provides training and professional development for judicial officers in Australia. The site has details of Council members and other officials and details of courses offered by the College. There is information on past and future conferences held by the College, including conference papers; other publications include a copy of the National Curriculum for professional development for Australian judicial officers and a report on judicial education in Australia. Parts of the site are password-protected.

Supreme Court of Afghanistan

Official website of the Supreme Court of Afghanistan. This site has an English interface but most of the content is provided in Dari and Pashto. There is information on the divisions of the Supreme Court including the Appeal Courts, Primary Courts and Special Courts. A full text copy of the Constitution of Afghanistan is given along with a copy of the Law of the Organization and Authorityof the Courts of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and links to sites offering a searchable collection of Afghanistan laws in Arabic and one providing Afghanistan laws translated into English.

South African Government Information: documents

This part of the South African Government Information website provides access to government publications including legislation, policy documents and documentation provided on provincial government websites. The site offers full text legislation including a copy of the Constitution. There are government notices, documents open for public comment, annual reports of government departments and agencies and downloadable forms.

International Institute of Space Law

Website of the International Institute of Space Law (IISL), a membership organisation founded in 1960 and based in France. The purpose of the IISL is cooperation with national and international space law organisations and the development of space law. The site provides information about the Institute's activities, which include annual colloquia and joint symposia with the European Centre for Space. Standing committee reports, an online newsletter and conference and workshop proceedings are available. There is also information about the Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court Competition.

Energy and Mineral Law Foundation

The Energy and Mineral Law Foundation (EMLF) is an educational organisation which promotes the study of law relating to energy and natural resources. EMLF membership is drawn from law firms, law schools, mineral companies and trade and professional associations supporting the mineral industry. The site provides a directory of members and details of educational events; white papers and conference materials are also available. Parts of the site are restricted to members.

National Legal Aid

Website of National Legal Aid (NLA), the organisation representing the state Legal Aid Commissions in Australia. The NLA seeks to improve leadership and management of the legal aid system by means of cooperation and knowledge-sharing. The independent Legal Aid Commissions provide access to legal information, advice and representation for people in their states or territories who are unable to afford the services of a private lawyer. The NLA site gives access to contact details and websites of each of the Legal Aid Commissions.

Australian Human Rights Centre (on AustLII)

This section of the AustLII (Australasian Legal Information Institute) website provides information about the Australian Human Rights Centre (AHRCentre), an inter-disciplinary research and teaching institute based at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). The Centre is engaged in research and teaching on Australian and international human rights law and publishes the Australian Journal of Human Rights and the Human Rights Defender.

Global Policy Forum

The Global Policy Forum (GPF) is an independent policy watchdog that monitors the work of the UN and scrutinizes global policymaking. Its website provides analyses of the work of the UN Security Council and social and economic policy at the UN. It also covers sustainable development and human rights, development finance and tax, and accountability of corporations. Reports, working papers and briefings by GPR are available, most of them in English and German. The site also has news updates and event information.

Constitutional Court of the Republic of Montenegro

Official website of the Constitutional Court of Montenegro. The site has historical information on the Court since its establishment in 1963 and information on its jurisdiction, organisation and judges. There is a full text copy of the Constitution (in Croatian only) and legislation relating to the Constitutional Court. A selection of resolutions of the Court can be viewed in English. These deal with the status of religious organisations, the election of municipal delegates and changes to the labour law. More case law is available to view in Croatian.
