World Legal Information Institute

The World Legal Information Institute (WorldLII) is a collaborative initiative providing free access to legislation, case law, treaties, law reform reports and law journals for jurisdictions worldwide. Users can browse by country or region, or by type of legal literature (legislation, case law and so on), and search facilities are available. WorldLII was developed by the Australasian Legal Information Institute and partner institutions.

Guide to the Lithuanian Legal System

A research and resource guide offering an introduction to law and the legal system in Lithuania, describing sources of law including free internet sources and materials in English. The guide has been prepared by Elona Norvaisaite, reference librarian at the Law and Politics Reading Room of the Information Center of the National Library of Lithuania. The guide was published in 2005 and updated in 2023 on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law.

Treatment Courts

Information about drug treatment court initiatives in the United States, on the website of the Department of Justice. Includes statistical and topical updates from different parts of the United States and elsewhere, as well as documents on programme implementation and evaluation. Training and funding sources are also covered.

Hong Kong Legal Information Institute

The Hong Kong Legal Information Institute (HKLII) is a joint project to provide free access to the primary legal materials of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The project partners are the University of Hong Kong Law and Technology Centre, and AUSTLII, the Australasian Legal Information Institute. Search and browse options offer access to a range of full-text databases: the judgments of the Court of Final Appeal (1997 to date), the judgments of the Court of Appeal (1946 to date), and judgments of the family and district courts, and the Lands Tribunal.

Society of Messengers-at-Arms and Sheriff Officers

The Society of Messengers-at-Arms and Sheriff Officers is the professional body for process servers and officers of civil courts in Scotland. A messenger-at arms is an officer of the Scottish Court of session, the supreme civil court in Scotland; sheriff officers are commissioned officials of the regional civil courts and Sheriff courts in Scotland. The website has a brief history of the profession, notes on the Society's international affiliations, and list of members' services.

Asian-Pacific Law and Policy Journal

An online journal developed by the William S. Richardson Law School at the University of Hawaii at Monoa. The journal is published twice a year and is available from the inaugural edition, February 2000, onwards. It focuses on a range of jurisdictions, including China, Japan, Korea, the United States and the Pacific and Southeast Asian regions generally.
