ORA Open Book Collection

Open access collection of written academic research, hosted by the Oxford University Research Archive (ORA). Its contents include theses, books, datasets, articles and other forms of information. The site can be browsed using a search function and results can be filtered by title, author or keyword. This site is largely open to all; however, some results may require institutional access to view.

From Words to Deeds: Research Project

Research project which focused on armed non-State actors (ANSAs) and their impact on International Humanitarian Law (IHL). It was primarily funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). The project’s goals included promoting compliance with IHL regulations and understanding ANSA perspectives. This website includes reports, articles, books, and case studies, primarily in PDF form. It also contains links to other useful resources.

Law Archive

Open access repository of preprints, working papers and other material by legal scholars, provided by Yale Law School. The collection covers the law of a range of jurisdictions. It can be browsed by subject and other criteria, and there is a search facility.

SRA Standards and Regulations

The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) sets and enforces professional standards for the solicitor’s profession in England and Wales. Its standards and regulations, which replaced the SRA Handbook in November 2019, include accounting rules, financial rules, a code of conduct, ethical requirements, indemnity insurance rules and other provisions. The site also covers enforcement and appeal procedures.

Treaties

Belgian treaty website, provided by the foreign affairs department of the Federal Public Service. Includes a database of treaty information (date of signature, date in force for Belgium, date of publication in the Journal Officiel, and so on) and details of treaties for which Belgium is the depositary. The site can be navigated in English, German, French or Dutch, but most of the content is in French and Dutch only.

Oxford Centre for Higher Education Policy Studies (OxCHEPS)

OxCHEPS is a website, compiled by Professor David Warner CBE, which provides information on higher education policy, practice and law. Details of books on higher education are given on the site and a selection of occasional papers are made freely available to download in PDF or Word. The website also provides updates to The Law of Higher Education by Dennis Farringdon and David Palfreyman (Oxford University Press) which can be used to accompany the most recent edition.

Ecourts Services: High Courts of India

Website providing information and resources relating to the Indian high courts made freely available online by the Supreme Court of India. The search interface enables cases to be searched by number or court. The status of a case, court orders and cause lists are also available and links are given to all the individual high court websites where additional information is provided.

Institute of Legal Informatics and Judicial Systems

Website of the Institute of Legal Informatics and Judicial Systems (IGSG) which was created in 2019 from the merger of the Institute of Legal Information Theory and Techniques (ITTIG) and the Research Institute on Judicial Systems (IRSIG). IGSG is based in Italy and conducts research on the “relationship between law and information and communication technologies, then on judicial systems, their institutional setting, the organization and interactions with the economic and social environment”.

Pakistan Constitution

Electronic copy of the 1973 Constitution of Pakistan made freely available online by the Comparative Constitutions Project at the University of Texas at Austin. The Constitution can be viewed in PDF or HTML and is amended up to 2018. There are chapters on fundamental rights, the federation of Pakistan, the judicature and Islamic provisions.
