National Human Rights Commission of Nepal

Website of the National Human Rights Commission of Nepal, an independent, autonomous statutory body established in 2000. Full-text reports, papers and speeches can be viewed on the site; other documentation includes press releases and news items contained in the Commission's e-bulletin. A copy of the Human Rights Commission Act, 2053 (1997) can also be viewed on the site. The site is in English and Nepali but some of the materials are available in Nepali only.

Scandinavian Studies in Law

Free online version of 'Scandinavian Studies in Law', a series of books published by the Stockholm Institute for Scandinavian Law at Stockholm University. The series covers the law of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden and presents articles by Scandinavian lawyers and legal scholars translated into English. Each volume focuses on a particular legal topic. All but the last few volumes can be accessed for free using the 'Sc.St.L. Database'. The  Scandinavian Studies in Law website also includes a list of abbreviations used in the series, and a help page.

Employment Relations Tribunal

Official website of the Employment Relations Tribunal of the Republic of Mauritius. This is a quasi-judicial body which hears industrial disputes and delivers awards. It was created following a merger between the Permanent Arbitration Tribunal and the Civil Service Arbitration Tribunal in February 2009. The site gives history and background information to the Tribunal and details of its members. Details of awards made by the Tribunal can be viewed on the site in PDF or Word for each year from 1995 onwards.

LawNet

Collection of full-text Sri Lankan legal materials made freely available online by LawNet, a project established by the Sri Lankan Ministry of Justice and Judicial Reform. The site has full text official statutes from 1956 to 2006 and unofficial statutes to 2006. There are also collections of Provincial Council statutes, a copy of the Sri Lankan Constitution and legislation from the last year. Full text versions of the Sri Lanka Law Reports (SLRs) and the New Law Reports (NLRs) are also provided along with a complete digest for the SLRs and the NLRs arranged by subject.

Agricultural Land Tribunals

Website of the Agricultural Land Tribunals (ALT) which is hosted by Defra. There are seven ALTs in England and one in Wales who are responsible for settling disputes and other issues between agricultural tenants and landlords arising from tenancy agreements held under the Agricultural Holdings Act 1986. They are also concerned with drainage disputes between neighbours under Sections 28 and/or 30 of the Land Drainage Act 1991. A full-text copy of this act can be viewed on the site.

Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission

This is the official website of the Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission (AIHRC). It provides information on the history, aims and current activities of the organisation. It includes free access to information about training courses, recent press releases and full-text reports. These cover all aspects of human rights and civil liberties in Afghanistan. Key areas include: womenãs rights, childrenãs rights, transitional justice and monitoring of human rights in prisons, detention centres, during elections.

Mental Health Law Online

WikiMentalHealth is a wiki covering mental health law in England and Wales, set up by Jonathan Wilson, a solicitor specialising in mental health law; it is mainly intended for mental health practitioners. It has a case law section with commentaries on mental health cases, organised by topic. Legislation dealing with mental health is also available, along with human rights and criminal legislation. Guidance is given on the Mental Health Act 1983.

A WorldLII database containing over 20,000 decisions from around 20 international courts and tribunals. Users can choose to search or browse the cases of one court or tribunal, all courts/tribunals or regional groups of courts/tribunals; the latter include all African courts and tribunals, all European courts and tribunals, all human rights courts and tribunals and all trade courts and tribunals. A background paper about the project and is available on the website.

Parliament of Namibia

Official website of the Namibian Parliament which is made up of the National Assembly and the National Council. The site provides history and background information to the government and legal system of Namibia. The functions of Parliament and an events calendar are given. There is a full-text copy of the Constitution and legislation from 1990 onwards can be viewed on the site in PDF.
