The guide was published in 2005, and updated in 2024, on the GlobaLex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The guide provides background information to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, an outline of the legal system and the system of government in Nigeria.

Foreign law: subject law collections on the web

Online guide to foreign law collections on the Web written by Charlotte Bynum who is assistant director and reference librarian focusing on foreign and international law at the Tulane Law Library. The guide is published on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The guide recommends selected collections of national laws arranged by subject and provides links and a short introduction to each resource.

Finding Chinese law on the internet

Guide to researching Chinese law online by Joan Lijun Liu of Fudan University Library. The guide was published on New York University's Globalex website in 2005 and last updated in 2021. It provides background information on the Chinese legal system and sources of law. There is guidance on obtaining Chinese legal information and resources online, in Chinese and English. Resources reviewed and linked to in the guide include full-text databases, official government resources, e-journals and legal research tools. 

GlobaLex

GlobaLex is a large collection of legal research guides covering foreign and international law, published by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. It is aimed at legal academics, practitioners and librarians. The guides are organised under the following headings: International Law Research; Comparative Law Research; Foreign Law Research; and Tools for Building Foreign, Comparative and International Law Collections. They provide commentary and background information as well as links to key web resources.

Law Library Microform Consortium

The Law Library Microform Consortium (LLMC) is a Minnesota-based non-profit organisation. The LLMC was founded in 1976 to preserve ageing legal and government publications initially in microfiche format and now digitally online. The database has historical materials including statutes, session laws, judicial decisions, administrative regulations, and government reports from jurisdictions around the world. LLMC can be browsed by jurisdiction, date (from the eleventh century), language or type of material or searched by keyword.

Family Justice Council

The Family Justice Council (FJC) was set up by the Department of Constitutional Affairs (DCA) following the consultation paper, 'Promoting inter-agency working in the family justice system' published in 2002. The purpose of the FJC is to "promote an inter-disciplinary approach to the needs of family justice" and their work includes identifying best practice in the family justice system and consulting with government departments on current policy. Background information on the FJC including their activities and terms of reference is given on the site.

Harry A. Blackmun Papers

Online guide to U.S. Supreme Court Justice Harry A. Blackmun's papers produced by the Manuscript Reading Room at the Library of Congress where the collection is housed and made freely available on their website. The collection includes papers from 1913 to 2001 with most of the material covering Justice Blackmun's time as a judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and as an associate justice of the Supreme Court.

bepress Legal Repository

The bepress Legal Repository is a collection of freely available, law-related working papers contributed by a network of academic and research organisations and hosted on the Berkeley Electronic Press website. Indexed working paper collections cover topics including employment law, general law, health law and policy, intellectual property law, law and economics, law and society, public law and legal theory and taxation. The repository can be browsed by working paper collection, subject or institution and papers can be searched using a simple or advanced search facility.

vLex Justis

Website of vLex Justis a subscription service providing online legal information including legislation, case law, administrative materials, books, journals and legal news. Content covers the United Kingdom, United States, international law and a wide range of other jurisdictions.

HeinOnline

HeinOnline is a subscription database produced by U.S. legal publisher William S. Hein in collaboration with Cornell Information Technologies and the Cornell University Law Library. The database includes an extensive library of image-based full-text legal publications including out-of-print and historical legal research materials. Materials are grouped into a range of libraries including the Law Journal Library, US Supreme Court Library, English Reports, Treaties and Agreements Library, Legal Classics and the US Presidential Collection.
