The site lists legal practitioners and firms from all over the world, searchable by country and region. Overviews of the legal market in each country are given along with legal news and law firm news. There are articles on different specialisations within commercial law written by legal practitioners.

Tokyo Bar Association

Website of the Tokyo Bar Association (also known as 'Toben') the largest local bar association in Japan. The site gives information about the work of the association and its committees. There is background information on how to qualify as a Bengoshi (Japanese barrister) and how foreign lawyers can practice in Japan. The site includes a glossary of terms relating to the Japanese legal profession and can be viewed in English and Japanese.

Planning and Environment Bar Association

Website of the Planning and Environment Bar Association (PEBA) whose members are barristers specialising in "planning, environment, compulsory purchase, highways, housing, rating and other aspects of local government and administrative law". The site gives information on the work of PEBA and includes a full-text (PDF) copy of the PEBA Handbook. Details of pro bono work carried out by PEBA members is also provided. Contact details for chambers and barristers who are members of PEBA can be searched or browsed on the site.

Revenue Bar Association

Website of the Revenue Bar Association (RBA) whose membership is drawn from English barristers who practise in the taxation field. The site provides a directory of members which can be browsed online. There are also contact details and links to the websites of tax chambers and chambers with tax specialists. The site provides information on various schemes enabling people to use the services of RBA members including details of fees and participating barristers.

The Bar of Ireland

Website of the Irish Bar, the regulatory body for barristers practising in Ireland. The site has background information about the Bar, a directory of barristers and guidance on instructing counsel directly. It also covers standards, qualifications and the Irish court system. Commentary on selected pieces of legislation is available and there is a page of links to other Irish legal sites as well as a glossary and a list of Irish legal publishers. Parts of the site are restricted to members only.

Honorable Society of King's Inns

The Honorable Society of King's Inns is the body which governs entry to the barristers' profession in Ireland. The site features details of the King's Inns admissions requirements and of the educational courses offered: the Diploma in Legal Studies and the Degree of Barrister-at-Law. Links are available to prominent Irish and international legal resources. A short history of the institution is included, illustrated with pictures of the architecture and profiles of famous graduates. The Library catalogue and information for current students are available to registered students only.

Nova Scotia Barristers' Society

Website of the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society (NSBS) the governing body for the legal profession in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia. The site has information regarding the history and management of the NSBS with online copies of regulations and governing legislation. The site also provides PDF copies of policy documents, forms, guidelines and reports covering professional and practice issues, complaints and discipline. There is information about the discipline procedure aimed at the public along with links to other Nova Scotian and Canadian legal resources.

Victorian Bar

Website of the Victorian Bar a professional association representing barristers practising in Victoria, Australia. The site has information about the Bar including a copy of the constitution, practice rules and regulations, annual reports and details of the Bar's Alternative Dispute Resolution scheme. An online membership directory provides contact details of barristers and chambers. Full text copies of the Bar newsletter, In Brief, are made freely available online in PDF format containing articles, book reviews and news from the Bar.

Hong Kong Bar Association

The Hong Kong Bar Association is the professional organisation for barristers in Hong Kong. Its website provides information about the work of a barrister and has a directory of Hong Kong barristers and barristers' chambers. There are also lists of mediators and arbitrators. Information about the Association includes its rules and regulations, Code of Conduct and annual reports. There is a selection of speeches, articles and press releases along with information about pupillage.
