Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Croatia: bilateral relations

This section of the Croatian foreign ministry’s website provides a list of the dates that Croatia established diplomatic relations with each foreign state and the dates of diplomatic recognition, together with details of Croatia’s bilateral treaties. The treaty information includes titles, dates of conclusion and entry into force, Official Gazette references and other details, but the text of the instruments is not available. For Bosnia Herzegovina, Italy, Hungary and Slovenia, some multilateral treaties are covered as well as bilaterals.

Database-CIL

Free database of ASEAN treaties, ASEAN soft law documents and other international law documents, with details of Southeast Asian implementation of key instruments. Provided by the Centre for International Law (CIL) at the National University of Singapore, the database can be searched by title, date, key word and treaty status. Records are classified into categories and subcategories, and can be filtered by keyword, date, category and treaty status.

League of Nations

A collection of official League of Nations publications digitised by the National Library of Scotland. The print collection held at the National Library of Scotland consists of 'The Official Journal' and special supplements, monthly summaries, statistical yearbooks and Treaty Series, as well as publications from the principal organs, committees, commissions and conferences; a selection of these has been digitised.

International Treaty Search

Database of treaties entered into by Indonesia from 1947 to the present day, maintained by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. International Treaty Search allows users to browse the treaties using various filters, such as country, subject, status, and time period, as well as through a general word search. Each record gives a brief description of the treaty, the date and place of signature, the status, the termination method, a PDF of the treaty attached, and any relevant references.

Global Terrorism Database

The Global Terrorism Database is hosted by the University of Maryland and provides information on terrorist events around the world from 1970 to 2020. The database can be searched or browsed by date, country, perpetrator and by type of weapon or target. Results are shown on a graph and entries include details of who carried out the attack, method used, a summary of the incident and sources of information.

Artificial Intelligence and Human Rights: Four Realms of Discussion, Research and Annotated Bibliography

This is the annotated bibliography section of an article on artificial intelligence (AI) and human rights written by Jootaek Lee who is assistant professor and librarian at Rutgers Law School (Newark). The bibliography was published in 2022 on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law.

SHERLOC

The SHERLOC (Sharing Electronic Resources and Laws on Crime) website has been compiled by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). It’s aim is to facilitate the dissemination of information regarding implementation of the UN Convention against Transnational Organized Crime, the Convention’s three protocols and the international legal framework against terrorism.

Bodleian Library League of Nations research guide

A research guide provided by the Bodleian Library in Oxford, covering the League of Nations. The guide contains information on the structure of the League of Nations, links to useful resources such as journals and books and a detailed guide to the League of Nations’ documents and publications, including the complicated numbering system of their documents. There is also a comprehensive list of links to archives, personal papers and guides relating the League of Nations. Some of the links and resources are Oxford-specific, but the majority are available for all to use.

 

Internationales Recht

International law section of the German Foreign Office website, giving details of the multilateral treaties for which Germany is the depositary, under ‘Die Bundesrepublik Deutschland als Verwahrer mehrseitiger völkerrechtlicher Verträge’, and providing a small selection of documents relating to German state practice in international law, under ‘Aktuelle Völkerrechtspraxis Deutschlands’.

International Atomic Energy Agency: Treaties

This part of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) website provides access to treaties the IAEA is involved with. These include international agreements negotiated and concluded by IAEA Member States, agreements to which the IAEA is a party (acting as an international organisation) and IAEA-related treaties which are relevant to the Agency’s work. Subjects covered include nuclear safety, nuclear security, nuclear non-proliferation and civil liability for nuclear damage. Treaties are given in full text in a range of languages in PDF.
