Website of the Canadian Judicial Council (CJC). The CJC was established in 1971 with the aim of improving the quality of the Canadian judiciary. Areas of work include the continuing education of judges, handling complaints against federally appointed judges and recommending on judicial salaries. A selection of FAQs provide information about the judicial system. There are also links to the Canadian Constitution, the section of the Judges Act which governs the CJC and the Council's by-laws and procedures. The Centre for Restorative Justice at the Simon Fraser University in Canada is funded by the Correctional Service of Canada and provides education, training and research in the field of restorative justice (RJ). The website has a searchable database of restorative justice resources which includes introductory materials, resources for RJ practitioners and scholarly literature. The Commission for Environmental Co-operation (CEC) is an international organisation created by Canada, Mexico and the United States under the North American Agreement on Environmental Co-operation (NAAEC), in order to address regional environmental concerns. The website provides general information about the Commission and its projects. The Publications and Information section includes detailed summaries of the environmental laws of Canada, Mexico and the US.
Website of the Indigenous Bar Association (IBA), an organisation based in Ontario, Canada which represents aboriginal lawyers and provides a forum for discussing developments in indigenous law. Membership is drawn from judges, academics, consultants and students. The website includes organisational information and details of the objectives and by-laws of the IBA.
