This website provides access to the research outputs of faculty and students at Harvard Law School, forming part of Digital Access to Scholarship at Harvard (DASH), an open access repository. DASH contains scholarly articles and student papers which can be searched by author, title, keyword, sponsor and series or browsed by date, author, title and subject. Recent submissions can be accessed from the home page. Records provide bibliographic details with abstracts and a link to the full text.

Judicial Performance Evaluation

The Judicial Performance Evaluation Initiative is a project of the Institute for the Advancement of the American Legal System (IAALS) a national research body based at the University of Denver. The purpose of judicial performance evaluation (JPE) is to help "increase public confidence and assist judges in identifying areas of professional development". This site gives an overview of all state JPE programmes using a clickable map and there are links to states with official JPE programs.

Advertising Law and Ethics

Website providing information and links to resources dealing with advertising law and ethics in the United States. The site is made freely available by the College of Communication at the University of Texas at Austin. The site is arranged by topic covering a range of issues relevant to advertising law. These include children, deception, tobacco and alcohol advertising, self regulation, telemarketing, privacy and unfairness. Each section contains background information and external links to organisations and full text legislation.

Information Law Institute (ILI)

Website of the New York Law School's Information Law Institute which focuses on law, technology and civil liberties. The site has details of courses, events and people involved with the Institute. There are also details of research projects being undertaken at the Institute such as the IProgress Project the aim of which is to improve "intellectual property law and policy through research initiatives focused on law and regulatory reform, software innovation, and legal education". Full text papers of the Institute can be downloaded in PDF.

Inter-American Cooperation Portal on Cyber-Crime

The Inter-American Cooperation Portal on Cyber-Crime is the website of the Group of Governmental Experts on Cyber Crime established by the Department of Legal Cooperation at the Organization of American States (OAS). The purpose of the group is to look at the issues surrounding cyber crime in OAS member countries, including national legislation, policies and practices, and identify ways of cooperating within the Inter-American system to combat these crimes.

Center for Oceans Law and Policy

Website of the Center for Oceans Law and Policy (COLP) a research and education centre focusing on legal and public policy issues relating to the oceans and based at the University of Virginia School of Law. The site provides details of courses run at the COLP and publications produced by the Centre. There is a section providing information and documentation relating to the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea. Materials include a full text copy of the Convention, a list of parties and related agreements and testimonies and letters supporting United States accession to the Convention.

Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society

Website of the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society, which is based at Harvard Law School. The Center researches the development of the internet and its norms and standards and has created a global network bringing together students, academics, practitioners, and members of the public. The site provides information about the Center's research, events and engagement programmes.

Typography for Lawyers

The Typography for Lawyers website is provided by Matthew Butterick, a civil litigation attorney based in Los Angeles. It is a guide to typography for people who are not professional typographers - and for lawyers in particular. Topics covered include bold, underlining, centred text, hyphens and font types.

Haymarket Affair Digital Collection

The Haymarket Affair Digital Collection has been created by the Chicago Historical Society and is made freely available on their website. The Haymarket Affair refers to the violent confrontation between protestors supporting striking workers and the police which took place in Chicago's Haymarket Square in May 1886. The protestors were convicted after a bomb was thrown and several police killed.

Municipal Code Corporation online library

Municipal Code Corporation is a company publishing United States municipal, city and county codes and providing online access to these documents via their subscription website Municode.com. This service includes a free online library providing access to full text Codes of Ordinances, minutes and local government charters for a selection of city governments. These are arranged by state and can be accessed using a clickable map. Contact addresses and web links are also given for each city government. Other documents can be purchased on the site.
