The guide was published in 2009 (and updated in 2021) on New York University's Globalex website. It covers the establishment of Islamic law in Malaysia and the Islamic law tradition. There is a section on sources of Islamic law and examples of Malaysian legislation, focusing on Islamic family law, procedural law, criminal law and financial law. There are links to case law and court information and details of articles, law journals, books, catalogues and internet resources on Islamic law. There are also links to a number of articles on Islamic legal education in Malaysia.
