The guide was published in 2019 (and updated in 2023) on the Globalex Website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The guide also looks at more specific measures addressing the issue that come from international organisations such as the United Nations. Links are given to key intergovernmental organisations and nongovernmental organisations concerned with the right to water eg. UN Water, World Water Forum and WaterLex. An annotated bibliography to selected treatises, articles, reports, and domestic laws is also given.
