Online guide to the Argentine legal system written by Gloria Orrego Hoyos who works at the Secretariat Training and Jurisprudence of the Public Defender's Office in Argentina. The guide was published in 2006 (and updated in 2022) on the Globalex website and is made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The authors provide background information to the Argentine government and the executive, legislative and judicial powers. There is an outline of the court system and links to primary and secondary sources of law including national codes and international treaties. There is also information relating to other state institutions and to the legal framework concerning taxation and the environment.
