Online guide to the law and legal materials of Malaysia by Shaikh Mohamed Noordin, a Library Consultant with Belden Advocates and Solicitors and Lim Pui Keng, Director and Legal Consultant at Advanz Fidelis Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur. The guide was published in 2008 on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The guide gives historical and background information to the legal system in Malaysia. There are sections dealing with the legislative authority, the executive authority and the judicial authority in Malaysia. Information and links are given to official and commercial legislative sources, federal and state government websites, to government departments and to statutory and regulatory bodies such as the Securities Commission and the Bank Negara Malaysia (the central bank of Malaysia). Links are also given to court rules and judgments and to the various courts in Malaysia. The final section focuses on the legal profession and legal education in Malaysia. The guide was updated in 2016 by Shaikh Mohamed Noordin and Shanthi Supramaniam who is a partner at Belden Advocates & Solicitors.
