Online guide to the legal system of the Republic of the Congo compiled by Dunia P. Zongwe who is a writer on finance, development and human rights in Africa. The guide was published in 2014 (and updated in 2023) on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The author gives an introduction to the history of the Congo and an outline of the Constitution including the role and functions of the President and parliament. There is an outline of the criminal, administrative, civil and international laws in the Congo and a description of the legal profession and court system. A list of printed resources on Congolese law is given along with the few online resources available.
