Description:

Jurispedia, the shared law, is an academic project utilising an open source Wiki format which aims to offer information about all of the laws of every country in the world and is concerned with systems of law as well as legal and political sciences. The service provides information about the law and user-contributed articles relating to thirty countries currently. Jurispedia has been developed as an initiative of the African Legal Information Institute, the Faculty of law of the Can Tho University (Vietnam), the team of JURIS (Université du Québec à Montréal, Canada), the Institut für Rechtsinformatik of Saarland University (Germany), the Institut de Recherche et d'Études en Droit de l'Information et de la Communication (IREDIC) of the Paul Cézanne University. It is run as a pro bono project with each of these institutions contributing resources. The web service is available in several languages.
