The guide was published in 2018 on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The guide gives an introduction to the history of international humanitarian law and outlines other related issues including the basic principles, nature of warfare, role of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the R2P (Responsibility to Protect).
