The author provides information about the availability of documentation from the Inter-Governmental Conferences (IGCs); guidance on the different types of working documents produced by the European Commission, the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union; and information about where to find documents. Advice is also given about using the free EU databases Europa, Eur-Lex, OEIL and Pre-Lex to trace working documents.
