Linkages Update

Linkages Update is published online every fortnight and contains information about additions to the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) Reporting Services'Linkages website. Content will focus on environmental news stories, updates on environmental negotiations, brief summaries of key environment and sustainable development meetings, an extensive list of upcoming meetings and a summary of recent notable academic literature. The site includes an archive of issues, dating back to 2002. Users may subscribe to the service and receive the latest Update by email.

Farrer-Briefings

The briefings are expert commentory on a variety of current affairs and cases concerning all sectors in which the host firm (Farrer & Co) are involed. Going back to 2007, these briefings can be filtered by date, theme and intended audience.

Practice Source

Practice Source is an Australian legal website edited by Sean Hocking and focusing on legal publishing and legal information management. Although coverage on this site is international the emphasis is on Australian legal information. There is coverage of legal news stories and general news from a range of sources. Other sections provide links to news and blog posts dealing with knowledge management, legal publishing and marketing issues.

China Court

Online newspaper published by the Chinese Supreme People's Court and made freely available in English and Chinese. Articles are categorised by subject including 'judicial news' which covers legal news stories and judicial interpretations, 'laws and regulations' which covers new laws and changes to the law and general news stories. Articles are arranged in date order with the most recent stories listed first.

Legalbrief

Legalbrief is an online news service provided by South African legal publisher Juta Law. The Legalbrief service is comprised of a range of newsletters with stories taken from a range of South African and international news sources. There are newsletters focusing on Africa, forensic law, environmental law, cyber law and South African legal judgements. This is essentially a subscription service but many news stories and some judgements are made freely available on the site.

Courthouse News Service

Website of a US online legal news service which provides "daily comprehensive reports on new appellate rulings, new legislation and new civil cases from the federal and state courts with the most prolific and weighty litigation." The service is subscription based but certain parts of the site are made freely available. Summaries of all federal appellate opinions are available with links to the full-text, summaries of new federal legislation and legal news stories produced on a daily and weekly basis.

JURIST legal news and research

JURIST is a legal news site edited by Professor Bernard Hibbetts and hosted at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in the United States. The site is produced by staff and students at the law school and is aimed at the legal community with emphasis given to highlighting the latest legal developments, judicial decisions and primary source materials. There are sections focusing on United States, world news and an archive of news stories going back to 2003.

Law Times

Law Times is a weekly Canadian legal newspaper published by Canada Law Book. The website publishes headline legal news stories linking to selective online copies of articles available in the print version. There is also a section of case digests appearing in the current issue of the print version. A commentary section features editorial comment and letters to the editor.

Insite Law magazine

Website of Insite Law magazine which is produced by Mike Semple Piggot and aimed at legal practitioners and students. The site offers podcasts of interviews with people working in different areas of the law and legal education. Recent podcasts have covered topics such as standards in UK universities, the rising costs of legal education and what is involved in doing a Ph.D. There are also interviews with the Chair of the UK Innocence Network Committee, Head of Legal at Liberty and the Director of Justice along with a series of podcasts focusing on the Bar and pupillage.
