Website of the Italian Court of Cassation, providing information about the court and its administration. The ‘Servizio Online’ page gives links to Italian legislation, cases and other legal resources, including SentenzeWeb, a database of civil and criminal cases decided by the Court of Cassation in the last five years.  

DoGi – Dottrina Giuridica

DoGI is a free-to-use online index to Italian law journals, with abstracts. Started in 1970, it covers more than 750 titles. Each index entry has details of cases and legislation cited as well as key words and subject headings; if article is from an open access journal a link to the full text is given.  DoGI is a searchable database and can also be browsed by subject classification, author, journal title, code article and other criteria.

Consiglio Superiore della Magistratura (CSM)

Website of the Consiglio Superiore della Magistratura (Superior Council of the Judiciary), a body established under the constitution to ensure the autonomy and independence of the Italian judiciary. The site has information on the composition of the CSM and the judicial councils along with an outline of the Italian judicial system. It provides relevant legislation, including the Constitution, as well as internal regulations and documentation from conferences and meetings.The site can be viewed in Italian only.

ATRIO: Archivio dei Trattati Internazionali Online

ATRIO (formerly 'ITRA') is a treaty database maintained by the Italian Foreign Affairs Ministry. It contains information about Italian treaties in force and provides the full text of many treaties. For information about a particular treaty's place of signature, date in force and so on, click on ‘Vedi Dettaglio’ (‘See Details’). ATRIO is mostly in Italian, but some of the treaties are in English or other languages.

Consiglio Grande e Generale

The Great and General Council of the Republic of San Marino webpages. Includes searchable archives of legislation and meetings of the council. Also contains information regarding structure, history and current activity of the governmental body of San Marino. Please note this website is only available in Italian.

Autorita Garante Della Concorrenza e Del Mercato

Internet site for the independent body established by the Italian government to help regulate the application of fair competition practice rules, and adjudicate in cases of corporate breaches and cases of misleading advertising. The site explains how the Authority works, describing the organisation, operational structure and scope of its activities. A collection of news releases posted on the site in reverse chronological order, carries notes of Authority reports and relevant Italian legislation.

Web pages from the Italian Ministry of Justice, in Italian only, offering a description of the Italian legal and court systems and an organisational chart of the Ministry. Profiles are given of the Minister and Under Secretaries and details of other departments within the Ministry. There is information on the Ministry's international policies and cooperation with other countries. The "Glossary" provides definitions of the most commonly used terms peculiar to the Italian justice system.

Recueil systématique du droit fédéral (Confoederatio Helvetica)

Official compilation of the laws of the Confederation of Switzerland, available in French, German and Italian versions. This collection of texts of Swiss federal law is available free of charge. Texts are available mainly in PDF format, with some HTML. The main listing is alphabetically by title. There are also lists of internal law (constitutional, penal, private, educational and social, defence, transport, health, economy), a list of international agreements, and a list of selected public law texts. The site includes a search engine.

Istituto dell'Autodisciplina Pubblicitaria

The Website of the Istituto dell'Autodisciplina Pubblicitaria (IAP) is an online resource providing information about the organisation's responsibilities and the Code of Marketing Communication. As a founding member of the European Advertising Standards Alliance (EASA), the IAP is committed to advertising self regulation within its own country and the European Union. The site gives the full-text of the Code which governs its members' practice.

Parlamento Italiano

Official website of the Italian parliament, containing information about its members, functions and the election of a president. The site is published in Italian only. It contains the text of all laws (leggi) from 1996 onwards. These can be browsed by date, by type of act and by subject. Legislation in progress can also be browsed, along with the decreti-leggi currently being considered and decreti-legislativi from 1996 onwards. Reports, agendas and other documents relating to parliamentary proceedings are also provided along with information on the work of parliamentary committees.
