LegiGlobe

French-language website providing an introduction to about 150 of the world’s legal systems, together with an overview of many comparative law topics and introductions to selected. international organisations. LegiGlobe is an initiative of the Réseau Francophone de Diffusion du Droit (RF2D), supported by the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie. The website can be browsed by country, international organisation or comparative law topic. There is also a site index and a collection of useful links.

Nominet

Nominet is the registry for the “.uk”, “cymru” and “.wales” internet domains. It also offers a dispute resolution service. The Nominet website has a searchable register of domain names and provides information about registering a new name. There is also a database of domain name disputes decided by Nominet, together with procedural guidance for dispute resolution. News, reports and statistics are available on the site and there is a timeline showing the history of the internet.

NIPC Gulf

Blog about intellectual property and commercial law in the Gulf states, by English barrister and arbitrator Jane Lambert. Discusses recent cases and other legal developments, events and other matters. A Twitter feed is available.

Lawdit Solicitors

Lawdit is a UK solicitors’ firm specialising in internet and telecommunications law. Its website has a Reading Room with news items, short articles and case commentary on the subjects of IT, telecommunications and related areas of law.

Travel Law Quarterly

Website of Travel Law Quarterly (TLQ) which is published by the Leisure Industries Section of the International Bar Association. TLQ is aimed at travel industry professionals, lawyers and students and covers topics such as “travel agency, tour operations, cruise law, air law, timeshare, hotel law as well as the regulation and licensing of the travel industry”. The full journal is available by subscription but TLQ Online, which provides additional content, is freely available on the website.

Bibliothèque numérique Cujas

Online library of more than 150 digitised works from leading French law library Bibliothèque Cujas in Paris. The selected titles cover the medieval period and the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. The majority cover the law of France, but 30 are about German law. All the works are searchable by title, author, subject and date; full-text searches are available for some works. All can be browsed by title and filtered by period or subject. They are in pdf format. Most are in French, but some are in Latin or German and the site interface is in French.

African Online Library on Law and Governance

Large free collection of African law materials, including constitutions, legislation, treaties, court decisions, journal articles and some books, together with a news service and networking opportunities. Registration is required, but there is no charge. The Library can be browsed by country, organisation, or journal title, and there are simple and advanced search facilities. For each country, there is a brief description of the legal system, a list of intergovernmental organisations in which it participates and other information.
