Asian Law Institute

Website of the Asian Law Institute (ASLI) which was set up in March 2003 to "facilitate academic exchanges as well as research and teaching collaboration among law schools in Asia". ASLI is based at the Faculty of Law of the National University of Singapore. The site gives details of the Board of Governors and Fellows of the Institute along with details of conferences and abstracts of seminars held at ASLI.

Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand

The 2007 Thai Constitution is available on the Asian Legal Information Institute (AsianLII) website. AsianLII is a cooperative legal information initiative led by the Australasian Legal Information Institute. The Constitution has chapters dealing with the role of the King, the rights and duties of citizens, the National Assembly, the Council of Ministers, the courts and local government.

Arbitration Chambers

The Arbitration Chambers is a Singapore-based mediation and arbitration company. Its website provides model arbitration clauses and arbitration laws for China, Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia (translated into English). It also provides links to other Asian and international arbitration organisations.

ASEAN Law Association

Website of the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) Law Association, a non-governmental professional organisation which brings together members of the legal profession in ASEAN countries. The site provides historical and organisational information about the ALA. Publications and speeches of members from the various countries can be freely downloaded.

Law Reform Commission of Thailand

Web pages of the Law Reform Commission of Thailand an independent body providing research and advice to the Thai Government on legal developments and reforms. The site has an English interface and provides English translations of the Thai Constitution and a small selection of laws and treaties that Thailand has signed; other legislation and codes on the site are in Thai.

Thailand Law Forum

The Thailand Law Forum (TLF) was founded in 1997 by American and Thai law professors to provide Thai legal information in English. The website includes the bi-annual Thailand Law Journal, translations of legislation - including codes - and summaries of Supreme Court opinions from 2005 to 2009. Contact details of a selection of Thai law firms and legal news stories are also available. The site is maintained by Thai law firm, Chaninat & Leeds.

A Summary of the Thai Law and Legal System

Online guide to the legal system and legal materials of Thailand written by Joe Leeds who is the manager of Thailand law firm, Chaninat & Leeds. The guide was published in 2008 (and updated in 2024) on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The author provides an outline of the Thai legal system covering the legislative, executive and judicial branches of government.

Asia Legal Information Network

The Asia Legal Information Network (ALIN) was set up by the Korea Legislation Research Institute (KLRI) in 2003 as a voluntary network of governmental, academic and research organisations willing to provide access to legal information and resources managed by each of them. ALIN offers a small collection of articles, laws, regulations and conference papers. Some resources are restricted to members only.

Asian Patent Attorneys Association

Website of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA), an NGO that seeks to promote intellectual property protection in the Asian region (including Australia and New Zealand). The site provides a newsletter and gives details of APAA committees and regional groups, a history of the organisation, and details of conferences and meetings. Parts of the site are restricted to members.
