United Nations Population Fund

The United Nations Population Fund, or UNFPA, is the UN agency responsible for advancing sexual and reproductive health. It also focuses on issues such as child marriage, female genital mutilation and gender-based violence. The Fund’s website describes its work and makes available reports, briefings, guidance, statistical data, news and other material. The site is provided in English, Spanish or French.

Homes & Communities Agency

The Homes & Communities Agency (HCA) is a non-departmental public body that regulates social housing in England and develops communities by making available housing and business premises. Its website has details of funding for first time buyers and information about business development incentives. There are sections on regulatory work performed by the HCA, land development opportunities, and sustainability with regards to property. The Documents section includes HCA publications, statistics and information about consultations.

United Nations Development Programme

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is "the UN's global development network, an organization advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life". It works in over 150 countries worldwide and work for progress towards the Millennium Development Goals, seek to enhance the empowerment of women and publish the annual Human Development report. Their website provides press releases, documents, speeches and statements and publications of the United Nations Development Programme.

OneWorld.net

OneWorld.net is a website " ... dedicated to harnessing the democratic potential of the Internet to promote human rights and sustainable development". The site aims to be a gateway to information concerning issues of human rights and sustainable development. One World is an international network of cooperative centres governed by the OneWorld International Foundation. The site includes news, special reports, details of campaigns, analysis, photographs, etc.

Environmental Law Institute

The Environmental Law Institute (ELI) is a not-for-profit research and education institute based in Washington, US, which aims to shape the fields of environmental law, policy, and management in the US and beyond. The site provides information about the work of the ELI, including an overview of its programs relating to water resources; land and biodiversity; and innovation in governance. There is a searchable database of more than 4000 official guidance and policy documents, which ELR subscribers and Associates of the ELI can download for free, while others are charged a small fee.

Linkages Journal

Issues of Linkages Journal, 1996-2002, on the old, archived version of the IISD website. The journal was produced by the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), providing environmental news, updates on environmental negotiations, summaries of key environment and sustainable development meetings, and a summary of recent notable academic literature. In 2002, Linkages Journal became 'Linkages Update', which is listed separately on Eagle-i and available at https://enb.iisd.org/linkages-update/.

Earth Negotiations Bulletin

The Earth Negotiations Bulletin is published online through the Linkages website and produced by the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD). The Bulletin is intended to provide balanced, objective and informative summaries of international environment and development negotiations. Each volume covers a particular topic, such as a conference or convention, with individual issues providing short news reports on progress. Each volume also contains summary issues which contain full reports and analyses, and has an associated Linkages page with related information.

Linkages

Linkages is provided by the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), publishers of the Earth Negotiations Bulletin. 'It is designed to be an electronic clearing-house for information on past and upcoming international meetings related to environment and development policy.' Linkages offers access to several mailing list services, a regularly updated newsletter, as well as channelled views of key environemntal processes, e.g. sustainable development, trade and investment, and human development.

Linkages Update

Linkages Update is published online every fortnight and contains information about additions to the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) Reporting Services'Linkages website. Content will focus on environmental news stories, updates on environmental negotiations, brief summaries of key environment and sustainable development meetings, an extensive list of upcoming meetings and a summary of recent notable academic literature. The site includes an archive of issues, dating back to 2002. Users may subscribe to the service and receive the latest Update by email.

Commission for Environmental Co-operation

The Commission for Environmental Co-operation (CEC) is an international organisation created by Canada, Mexico and the United States under the North American Agreement on Environmental Co-operation (NAAEC), in order to address regional environmental concerns. The website provides general information about the Commission and its projects. The Publications and Information section includes detailed summaries of the environmental laws of Canada, Mexico and the US.
